GGuest UserI have fond memories when staying at Aston Hotels as the service staff are always polite & smiling. Always going out of their way to please.
However, I observed that the premises are normally on the older properties, albeit they try their best to keep clean & that the hot/water works well.
I commend the front desk & the concierge personnel for their cheerful demeanour & eager smiles.
It's near to the nice local produce shop for fruits & packed gifts goods of Pontianak which I bought for home.

EE. DahliaThe staff here are excellent. They help with every query and provide advice too. The room service food is good and the restaurant food is excellent. My room was very safe and comfortable, and cleaned every day. The hotel is right near to the mall, and the town centre is a short grab ride away. I have stayed here twice and also extended my stay the second time!

Cleanliness - generally a bit worn around the edges, and towels provided are at their life's end. Some yellow marks on the towels and covers might feel irksome.
Location - is very close to the Flamboyan market, with an Indomaret at its doorstep. Very close to Restoran Gajah Mada, and plenty of dining options nearby. Considered close to one tail end of gajah mada.
Service - generally friendly, helpful and smiling. Ordered room service and requested non spicy for nasi goreng, but still came spicy.
Breakfast was included. Is basic with good local options + bread, pastry, cereal, beverages.
Overall, quite good for a short weekend stay to explore the city. But next trip, a slight push to a hotel at more central Gajah Mada would make it that bit better, especially for bigger group.

GGuest UserThe hotel wasn't very clean. Next time, please don't give me a room too far inside or too high up. It took too long to wait for the lift to go down, and the lift itself was also quite a distance away.
The location, however, was excellent, close to everything.
