"This hotel has a great design aesthetic, a really excellent place to stay. They offer a rate that includes two meals, where you can choose between lunch or dinner. It's a semi-buffet style with quite refined dishes, so you don't even need to go out looking for a restaurant – very thoughtful! The room was spacious and came with a balcony, which exceeded my expectations. The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area. All in all, I'm very satisfied."

"I traveled to Brunico for work with my son. The property we chose had every comfort. The suite was spacious, clean, and comfortable. It had a large bathroom. It was centrally located with parking a hundred meters away. The young man who welcomed us was always helpful, kind, and gave us excellent advice on everything. I highly recommend staying with them."

This family run hotel - where multiple generations work side by side serving guests with an authentic, warm smiles - boats very comfortable rooms, outstanding food, and a lovely spa. I’ve never had better service at five star places across the globe. Proximity to Kronplatz was a huge bonus a with ski-in location. Can’t wait to return."

"We booked as part of a package with Sunweb, so quite a lengthy and expensive transfer from Innsbruck (yes in Austria, but closer to Kronplatz than Italian airports). What is normally a 90 minute transfer, was exacerbated by the weekend traffic and the lane restrictions on the Brenner Pass. But we really wanted to try skiing at Kronplatz, and we're so glad we chose this hotel for our base. Blitzberg shows modestly as a 3 star rating. But rooms, facilities, decor and food were as good as any 4 star we've stayed at in Austria. The Baumgartner family run a very efficient operation. The waitresses were really hard working and always friendly. The steak tartare, prepared at the table, seemed to be the locals' favourite. Quite a range of nationalities at the hotel. South Tyrol has two competing languages, 65% speak German, the rest mainly Italian. So you'd never know which language to select. The varied skiing at Kronplatz was fabulous. Lovely long easy blues at the top, efficient and modern lifts, and contrastingly, long and testing reds and blacks right down to the bottom. Good snow making and north facing slopes meant good conditions. But despite making a 1,000m descent from top to bottom without stopping, I had nothing on Herr Baumgartner himself. Whilst not a renowned skier, he operates the shuttle minibus to and from the slopes for his guests. I reckon that had he not gone into the hotel trade, he could have made a great racing driver! Lively apres ski scene at the base of the Reitschach gondolas. Good value mountain restaurants. The Kron self service has portion sizes that you'd tend to see on 'Man v Food'. Bruneck a lovely town. Will definitely come again."

"Since I had to stop a couple of weeks in the north for work reasons, I decided to spend a few days at the Winkler facility in Santo Stefano. Despite a "somewhat traumatic" start due to some misfortunes and particular episodes, they were all super good and receptive as well as kind in solving them, behaving in a great way!!! Nadine at reception, the director Alex and the owners did everything they could to fix it and help me. My room was super, a suite, with every comfort, excellent view and food both for lunch and dinner superb. Great quantity and quality in the buffet and dishes served. Breakfast, needless to say, fantastic and cafeteria service with Eleonora and in the dining room always very attentive, especially the waiters always available and thoughtful. The pools are spectacular, crystal clear water and everything very clean and working. In the Spa everything is perfect, with the young Giuseppe and his collaborator always precise and punctual. Towels, hand towels, bathrobes in large quantities and the various courses always carried out very punctual. Very good both the massage girl and super at the facial treatment. Internal and external parking with great service and also an amusement and games room as well as a small cinema. In short in summary ... we will see you again next year or maybe even sooner because you are fantastic !!! A final piece of advice to always reach absolute levels of excellence ... perhaps include pizzas in the buffets, or a pizza-themed evening, include the water for dinner in the cost of the room and maybe increase some fitness courses and / or swimming pool more !!! Thank you very much from the heart Winkler family and all its collaborators !!!!"

"One of the worst hotels I’ve stayed in a long time. I travel twice a month, so I’ve experienced a range of accommodations, and this one was disappointing despite a few positives. The Good: • Convenient location near buses for skiing. • Shuttle service was a nice touch. • Customer service was friendly and helpful. The Bad: • Zero soundproofing. You’ll hear everything—TVs, footsteps, chairs scraping, conversations. Avoid the first floor at all costs—it’s directly above a restaurant, so you’ll get bass vibrations from the music. • Speakers outside the restaurant are ridiculously loud and start at 8 AM, going nonstop until 11:30 PM. Even if you’re not on the first floor, the noise is hard to escape. • Window proofing? Nonexistent. You might as well keep your windows open because they don’t block out sound or cold. • The bedding is laughable. The pillows aren’t fluffy—they’re so flat you might as well sleep without one, and the sheets are tiny, like something meant for your kid’s Barbie doll. This review is more about the poor condition of the hotel than the staff, who were genuinely kind. But if you value peace, comfort, and a good night’s sleep, look elsewhere."

"This hotel was genuinely amazing, loved the food and the half board is SO worth it. Spa was awesome though it’s weird how Europeans walk around with their bits out in mixed baths. Kids under 14 aren’t allowed in the bath and sauna areas for this reason but yeah, be warned if that is a deal breaker."

The room is clean, tidy and spacious, as is the bathroom. There is no breakfast, but there is a coffee machine with free pods and a shared refrigerator for storing food. I would say very good. "Superlative family / friends experience! We spent a whole week in Aug 2026 at Hotel Rudolf together with 5 other families from all over the world (USA, The Netherlands, UAE). My geuine feedbacks for the hotel services are stellar, to say the least. From The quality / variety / freshness of the food options, to the wide and spacious garden, to the unparalled location in Riscone nearby Plan de Corones with a bus stop in front of the hotel itself, to the family and adult only spas, to the convenience and silence of the rooms and, lastly and super importantly, to the extremely courteous and professional hotel staff (Giuseppe the maitre, Marika at Reception, everyone really!). This my third stay at the hotel and I am a super fan of it!"

"My daughter and I were there on our winter ski holiday and we are delighted with the place. A great place to relax, beautifully decorated and well maintained rooms, a very large and beautifully decorated spa and relaxation area with an outdoor pool open all year round. Delicious food served to the table (even breakfast is served in a totally unique way) on a varied menu, the quality and taste is pure poetry and the chef is an exceptional master of his craft. And most importantly in each hotel, the atmosphere created by a team of wonderful, smiling, friendly and extremely competent people who pampered us at every turn and allowed us to fully relax, both after our efforts on the slopes and mentally. To complete the skiing experience, the Kronplatz ski run, which ends under the balconies of the hotel. I for one am looking forward to going there again."

"Have just returned from a 9 night stay at the Blitzburg and it's hard to imagine how it could have been any better. The Superior Oak Room we stayed in was generously proportioned and beautifully furnished in a modern style with traditional materials. The service was every bit as warm and welcoming as you might expect from a well-run family business. The restaurant (breakfast and dinner) was excellent, catering well for individual dietary needs. The bar was perfect for a pre-dinner drink, with just the right amount of conviviality without remotely getting boisterous. The shuttle to the ski lifts ran for 2 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the afternoon making access to the slopes a doddle. The train station was a 2 minute walk away for adventures further afield. And the town is as elegant and beautiful as any I can remember. Many thanks to the Familie Baumgartner for making our family holiday quite possibly the best we've ever had."
