"The hotel was incredible, and the employees were very attentive, the only thing is that it is quite far from the center of Puerto Plata and the airport. But, the Cabarete area is very good, since there is a lot of movement of foreigners and a lot of parties. As far as very good place is concerned. (PS: There is little Uber offer) If you go and there is an Uber with the name Ever, it is the best＜3"

"Horrible experience, refused to give me a refund. Waited 2 hours for a room. Claimed couldn’t find my reservation because of trip.com app. Food unedible. The only restaurant with decent food is on the resort property but for an extra charge. My family was separated and their room had no AC . No one ever came to fix it. Electric power was out at 4am, still at 9am no power available. No hot water ever. Only desserts were edible. Bread was hard , seating was limited , no extra seating available . Limited staff, the same person that greets you is the same working serving drinks at food court. Alcohol beverages watery . Gas station on front of resort , walked across the street to look for food to eat but only coffee, beer and chips available. Worst experience ever."

"Beautiful stay at the Surf Lodge. Loved the room decor and restaurant ambiance. It was clean and spacious. The food and drinks were delicious and fresh. It was a short walk to Playa Encuentro with an amazing local surf town atmosphere. You could rent boards and have delicious meal. Wish we could have stayed longer but they had a wedding party coming in (lucky them)!!"

The rooms are tastefully decorated with woodgrain tile and comfortable beds, the pool area is huge and beautiful with a swim up bar, everything is extremely clean, there is a large on-sight parking lot, and it's centrally located in the heart of Cabarete. Everyone was very friendly and helpful, including the security guards at the front gate. It was a great stay!"

"This boutique style hotel is the perfect location for a large family/friend vacation. There are 4 floors with 2 2 bedroom/2bathroom apartments on each floor. The bedrooms are roomy and each apartment has a big ocean view balcony and full kitchen. The pool area is great with direct access to the beach. The staff, led by Bree and Francisco are very friendly, accommodating and professional. We hired private chefs to make breakfast and dinner every day which was the cherry on top of an amazing experience. We had the entire property to ourselves. We felt completely safe while there."
