"My mum and I had a fantastic stay at Half Hotel in April 2026 and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly accommodating-anything we needed was handled quickly and efficiently, which made our stay completely stress-free. A special mention has to go to the manager, Jeetu, who was absolutely wonderful. His caring nature and genuine helpfulness really stood out and made a big difference to our experience. In fact, thanks to him and the overall comfort of the hotel, we enjoyed our stay so much that we decided to extend it for another week. It was also lovely to meet the owner, Charles, who clearly values a personal touch and likes to meet guests face-to-face. He took the time to check in with us and make sure everything was going well, which made the whole experience feel even more welcoming and personal. The location is also a big plus. It’s set slightly back from the busy main roads, which means it’s peaceful and quiet- something we really appreciated- yet still right in the middle of plenty of places to explore. We’d recommend having some form of transport to get around, and it’s also just a short distance to several beautiful beaches. It was also lovely to spend time relaxing by the swimming pool-such a nice, calm spot to unwind during the day. Breakfast was another highlight, with a variety of options available each day, and the staff were more than happy to accommodate any special requests. Overall, a wonderful stay with excellent service, and we would definitely return."

"Quick one night stay. Good amenities, and a clean hotel. Nice pool and food options also. Only down side, we were informed we would receive complimentary drinks and also breakfast packed as we were departing early. We received neither. Overall a good stay with kind staff"

"Chose this hotel at last moment. Was expecting Marriott standards. Room sheets were quite dirty (see pictures). Hair drier and sleepers not in room. Usually every hotel has them by default. I had booked queen size bed because I like sleeping large. But they said “sorry we have only two single beds room, but we will upgrade your room with balcony”. Balcony was looking at a hidden street, not at the swimming pool side. Breakfast was nice, swimming pool looks nice too. I would say it’s ok as average hotel, if you have not high expectations."

Andores Resort and Spa - Calangute
"We arrived at Andores Resort and Spa at night, and as soon as we walked through the gate we all said "Wow!". The place looks stunning at night, especially the pool area, as it is lit up beautifully. A porter took our cases up to our rooms ( we booked two) and we found we'd been left lovely platters of cakes with " Welcome" written on- a real treat! The rooms are large and well- furnished with great air- con and ceiling fans. The beds are so comfortable with quality pillows and linens. Breakfast is a veritable feast with something for everyone. Our daughter, who lives in India, tucked into the Indian dishes, but we enjoyed fresh fruit, yogurt, pastries and freshly - made omelettes. The pool area is stunning and we enjoyed lying on the comfortable sunbeds. There are plenty, so no need to rush out to reserve one! Pool towels are provided and laid out for guests. Staff bring out menus at lunchtime and give you a buzzer , so you can order from your sunbed. What makes this place so wonderful is the service. Nothing is too much trouble. In the restaurant ( which has amazing food at very reasonable prices) the staff go out of their way to cater to your every whim. There was one young waiter who was so friendly and chatty and impressed us with his professional manner. We had a brilliant massage in the spa! I've never had such a great massage before. Again, the prices were very reasonable. It's not often that we say we'd go back to the same place for a holiday, but we'd go back to Andores Resort and Spa in a heartbeat. We had a fabulous week there and didn't want to leave!! Thank you!"

Estrela Do Mar Beach Resort - A Beach Property
"I have been a regular guest at this property for nearly 10 years, which is why this review is coming from a place of genuine disappointment. The rooms and location are still good — that is not the issue. The real problem is the drastic decline in breakfast standards. For three consecutive days, the breakfast spread was almost identical. Extremely limited options, no meaningful variety, and no effort to rotate items. It felt repetitive and carelessly planned. If dosa was being served, there was no masala dosa — which is the most basic and expected option in any standard breakfast buffet. Instead, we were given things like beetroot dosa. Honestly, who serves beetroot dosa as a primary breakfast offering? Guests typically expect plain dosa and masala dosa — simple, classic, and universally preferred options. When parathas were served, it was only aloo paratha. No alternative fillings, no rotation, nothing. For a three-day stay, seeing the same limited spread every morning was frustrating. Experimentation is fine, but not at the cost of basic expectations. A hotel of this standing should first get the fundamentals right before trying to be creative. As a loyal customer of 10 years, this felt like a clear drop in standards. Breakfast is a core part of the hospitality experience, and currently, it does not match the pricing or reputation of the property. I hope management seriously re-evaluates the breakfast planning and restores the quality and variety that long-time guests remember."

"My recent stay at The Fern Residency, Calangute was absolutely wonderful! The property looks just as beautiful as in the photos — modern, clean, and surrounded by greenery. The swimming pool area is stunning, especially during the day with the palm trees around giving a true Goan vibe. Rooms were spacious, well-maintained, and had a lovely balcony view. The staff was extremely courteous and always ready to help, whether it was room service or guiding us to nearby attractions. The restaurant served delicious food, and breakfast had plenty of options to choose from. The location is perfect — just a short distance from Calangute and Baga beaches, yet peaceful enough to relax. I especially loved spending evenings by the poolside. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and relaxing stay in North Goa. Will definitely be coming back soon!"

He is a credit to the hotel. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Pool is a good size. Hotel is overall clean and well maintained. Location is perfect. I would love to give a rating of 5 but the breakfast area really brings down the rating.. it is in desperate need of an update and modernizing, really outdated. It is a shame."
