The elevator was very old; it was the first time I'd ever seen an elevator where you had to open the door manually, which was a nice experience. The hotel was cheap, and the breakfast was just so-so. "Corum is a small place and there's not much choice for accommodation or restaurants. Hattusili Hotel (or Hattuşirin Otel) must have been grand when it opened : it has a large foyer, elevator, restaurant and good location. But now most of it is faded, run down and sad. I got room #406 : it was lit by 1 harsh, cold tube light (no bedside lights), vinyl floor & furniture. The phone did not connect, I couldn't get the tiny TV to work (wires dangling down), the safe did not work and there was a bad smell. Bathroom was reasonable, with rattling shower cage. All linen was white and clean. Breakfast was in a large room that must have acted as a bar/disco previously, but now no alcohol in sight. There was no milk on the buffet, but they gave me some after I asked."

"We had just checked in to our room when, a knock at the door, someone was bringing us more towels and toiletries. A few minutes later, another knock, and he was back with coffee! A very welcoming experience. Clean. Well located. the bathroom was nice; although it could benefit from some counter space. The room, likewise, was clean and felt comfortable. We were in room 304 and the window shade wasn't quite long enough for the window so we were disturbed by the street light, but otherwise, a nice room. The breakfast was inferior to others we had in hotels in Türkiye, although it was adequate and oftentimes had a soup which was a nice change. The staff was attentive. "
