"Location is excellent being located beside the railway station, so one can just walk in to the hotel after getting down from train. The atmosphere in and around the hotel is quite good as jagganath temple is behind the hotel. Rooms are slightly smaller but are neat and tidy. The linen used are clean and spotless. Room service is very good. The food quality is quite good and chef personally meets the guests for a feedback. There is a swimming pool at the terrace and u get complementary drinks once a day. Inspite of the location the area is quiet and peaceful. The rates may seem high during peak season but is quite affordable during other times and is definitely value for money."

"We stayed at JP Hotel on 29th January 2026 as a group of four. We had booked a quadruple room with two queen beds. The room location was not very satisfactory, but the room itself was quite spacious and comfortable for all of us. One convenient aspect was that drinks and smoking were allowed inside the room. We also tried food from the hotel’s restaurant — the quality and quantity were both good and satisfactory. Another plus point is the location — the beach is just around 200 meters away, making it an easy walking distance. The hotel also has an indoor swimming pool, though we didn’t get a chance to use it. However, parking space at the hotel is limited, which could be a concern for guests traveling by car. Overall, a decent stay with spacious rooms and good dining, especially suitable for groups."

Everything was fine in terms of the trip itself, but honestly, the actual experience was nowhere close to what was advertised online. The quality and standards shown on Google were, in my opinion, far from reality. This is not a complaint or an attempt to criticize anyone. I simply want to remind fellow travelers not to set their expectations solely based on online ratings, photos, or promotional content. There was a significant difference between what was advertised and what we experienced in terms of food, accommodation, hospitality, cleanliness, and overall maintenance. I was one of those who trusted the online reviews, so consider this a friendly reminder. I genuinely hope the hotel improves its services and maintains the standards it promises, because delivering what you advertise is what truly earns a guest's trust. Travel smart, verify as much as you can, and don't rely only on Google ratings."

There was also a rat in the room which roamed about the entire room making noises at night. we complained at the hotel about the rat but they simply ignored the matter and did not pay any attention to this matter."
