Buchanan Arms Hotel & Leisure, Sure Hotel Collection
8.2 (15 reviews)

Buchanan Arms Hotel & Leisure, Sure Hotel Collection ★★★

📍 22 Main St, Drymen

"Lovely part of the country, great pool and sauna. Bathroom had black mold. Shower had boiling hot or cold, nothing in between. Soap bottle was too solid to squeeze anything out and when we asked for other toiletries were told there’s a shop up the road, we can buy some there. Had a cooked breakfast first morning, never again, settled for coco pops thereafter. Had evening meal second night, never again. Wife spent the rest of the night bringing up her fish and chips. Squashed a chip and oil trickled out. We were assured they would get back to us within 24 hours, 5 days later still waiting."

Kilmaronock Manse B&B
9.7 (68 reviews)

Kilmaronock Manse B&B ★★★★

📍 Old Military Rd, Drymen

"Kilromanaock Manse is a countryside hidden gem. We loved meeting the hosts who were gracious. They managed to squeeze us in a very busy local pub where we had a delicious farm to table dinner. Great experience, great conversation, great food and a memorable time!"

The Drymen Inn
8.4 (24 reviews)

The Drymen Inn ★★★

📍 5 Stirling Rd, Drymen

"Traditional hotel with nice atmosphere probably could do with a bit of modernisation but has lots of character. Room 22 was clean and plenty room for us. Lovely staff"

The Clachan Inn

The Clachan Inn ★★★

📍 Square, Loch Lomond, Drymen

"Just what we needed after our first day on the WHW. Definitely book. They turned away several people while we were eating. Good range of classic pub food and pizzas."

Glenlaird

Glenlaird ★★★★

📍 0BY, 30 Balmaha Rd, Drymen

"This lovely, small B&B is perfect for staying by Loch Lomond or The Trossachs. This is honestly one of my favorite areas to visit, and I have both camped and stayed at an inn in the area. Glenlaird was just amazing. Walking distance into central Drymen (literally a 4 minute stroll to The Clachan) but away from most of any bustle you could find in season. This home is obviously a recent build, and meant to be a B&B. The bottom half of the property is communal, with plenty of parking and views. Our room was probably one of the best we had on our trip (five different cities in Scotland) with a very comfortable bed, gorgeous bathroom and plenty of parking. As a bonus, the bed had a tv hidden in the footboard and there was a ton of space to spread out. While we didn’t have breakfast (we met with friends for breakfast to celebrate my birthday) the options were extensive and the dining area was relaxing, with floor to ceiling windows of the pond. We have friends in the area with limited space, so I can see us returning to stay with James and Svetlana again and again. We prefer to stay in the same places when we visit, and this is now 100% going to be a go to for us!"

The Clachan Inn ★★★
"Really popular restaurant with a varied menu and good wine list; booking is essential (and you may still be waiting a long time for table and then for meal!). Not sure how much of the building is as old as the licence. Excellent food and popularity is an asset (as long as you did not expect quick service and an early night)."
