Palm Park Hotel
"This hotel is a gem in Lephalale. Its conveniently located an hour over the SA and Botswana boarder & still close enough to Jhb. It has great facilities and a fantastic restaurant on site."
Prisatt Boutique Hotel
"I had a great stay with my friend , we really enjoyed their service and everyone there was so kind to us. Not forgetting the food great chef you have, keep it up and definitely coming again! Thank you "
Eco Lodge
"Terrible experience. We had very little sleep both Saturday and Sunday night as the bar area, despite being closed, appears to be an informal gathering for all drunkards. The noise continued until 4am and management completely ignored the situation. We will not be returning."
Palala Boutique Game Lodge and Spa
"Best experience ever… staff really attention to detail."
Zebra Guesthouse
Sediba Luxury Safari Lodge
"Sediba is nicely hidden in the nature and offers very spacious rooms with big balconies and whirlpool on the balcony. The staff is amazing, very nice and friendly and ready to accomodate ans wishes. Food is served on an à la carte basis with a small breakfast buffet additionally and the food quality is just amazing! Our Safari guide Moyo was just amazin, funny, very knowledgeable and passionate, absolutely recommending hin for Game Drives. Sundowners during the afternoon Safari very beautiful with drinks of choice. So, nothing negative to be mentioned about this Lodge and the Service. One point to mention, not negative but to be considered is the way to the lodge, which is only a dirt road, so a good car is necessary and plan more time than Google Maps tells you ;)"
Sekala Private Game Lodge
"My wife and I had a pleasant stay at Sekala. The transfer from the main gate to the lodge was smooth, and the reception at the lodge was very warm and welcoming. The rooms and ablutions were very tidy and neat. There was no smell of dust or dampness in the rooms. All the meals, from breakfast to dinner were excellent. Our main highlight was the game drives. Every day we looked forward to the game drives. Our ranger/guide Mr Lazarus Zulu was top notch. He is very experienced, and his gut feel was always spot on. We can't wait to return with our kids. We got value for our money. "
Laluka Safari Lodge
"We had the most incredible stay at Laluka Lodge for my 50th birthday. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with exceptional warmth and hospitality. The snacks, fresh produce, and juices served on arrival were locally produced and grown on the farm itself, which made the experience even more special and unique. Our ranger was outstanding — friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate, making our game drive truly memorable. The lodge itself is intimate, private, and absolutely beautiful. Our room was stunning with breathtaking views and every comfort we could possibly need. The beds were extremely comfortable, and the food was some of the best we have ever had at a lodge — true five-star quality. The staff made my birthday incredibly special by decorating the bed with leaves spelling out “Happy 50th Birthday,” and surprising me with cake and singing at dinner. The owners and staff made us feel genuinely valued and cared for throughout our stay. La Luca offers outstanding service, and a truly unforgettable bush experience. We will definitely be back!"

Mhondoro Safari Lodge & Villa
"Our stay at Mhondoro Safari Lodge & Villa was, without question, the most incredible vacation our family has ever taken. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed, cared for, and completely at home. The lodge itself is beautiful, warm, inviting, and the perfect place to relax between game drives. The villas were exceptionally comfortable, immaculately maintained, and equipped with every luxury imaginable. The air conditioning worked wonderfully, and thoughtful touches such as complimentary laundry service, bug spray, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, bath salts, cotton balls, Q-tips, room spray, slippers, bathrobes, and even a pillow menu ensured every detail was taken care of. The food was simply outstanding. Much of it comes directly from the farm, and you can truly taste the freshness in every bite. Every meal felt thoughtfully prepared, full of flavor, and made with genuine love and care. One of the most unique features of Mhondoro is the underground hide overlooking the waterhole. Being able to watch wildlife from water level is an experience unlike anything else. It provided some of our favorite moments of the trip. As incredible as that was, nothing topped the excitement of having elephants visit the villa. During our six-night stay, elephants came to drink from our pool on three separate evenings! This is an experience our family will never forget!! Welgevonden Game Reserve is breathtaking. With nearly 100,000 acres of diverse landscapes, every game drive felt like a new adventure. The animals have plenty of room to roam, which makes every sighting feel truly special and rewarding. But what makes Mhondoro extraordinary is its people. Our guides, Ryan and Hein, were knowledgeable, passionate, personable, and incredibly talented at helping us understand and appreciate the wildlife around us. The chefs, housekeeping team, and front-of-house staff were equally exceptional. A special thank you to Isaac, Jacob, Opa, Sam, David, Maggie and Reneè for making us feel so welcomed throughout our stay. We traveled as a group of 11 ranging in age from 12 to 80. My mother has mobility challenges, and the staff consistently went above and beyond to ensure she could participate in and enjoy every experience she wanted. Their kindness and attentiveness meant the world to our family. During our stay, we celebrated three birthdays and an anniversary. Each celebration was made to feel uniquely special, with the staff putting so much thought and effort into every detail. It wasn’t just hospitality, it felt personal. What is hardest to put into words is how deeply the team at Mhondoro cares about their guests. They didn’t simply respond to our needs and requests, they anticipated them. Time and time again, they thought of things before we ever had to ask. Whether it was ensuring my mother was comfortable, remembering our preferences, helping coordinate special celebrations, or simply noticing the little details that make a stay extraordinary, their l"
57 Waterberg
"Would recommend this as a great getaway that is close to Jhb/Pret. Staff are motivated in providing you the best experience possible."
Makweti Safari Lodge
"Makweti Safari Lodge is a exactly right. The accommodations are upscale and very comfortable with separate cabins; ours included it's own deck and plunge pool. The food was creative and delicious, and the staff bent over backward to make sure all guests are comfortable and content. Our driver/tracker was Joseph, who was very knowledgeable and fantastic at spotting game The other driver/tracker was Byron and the guests who joined him said he was terrific as well. Evening "sunsetters", when cocktails are enjoyed on the plains, was magical The lodge is located within the 282 sq. mile Welgevondon unfenced game reserve (one of the largest privately owned game reserves in South Africa). This is a malaria-free altitude. While there are no guarantees of what animals will be viewable, we saw the Big Five and many, many more animals."
Ndlovu Safari Lodge
"I can’t speak more highly of this beautiful lodge and its beautiful people. Farai guided us extremely well, showcasing the best of Welgevonden in such an interesting way. Zack was one of the best waiters we’ve ever encountered. And the housecleaning staff leave the rooms so clean and comfortable. The food was delicious, the owners gracious - I really can’t say anything negative. In the end though, it was the small touches that made all the difference. The hot water bottles in your bed at night and handed to you before morning game drives. The way Zack and Jan would pop outside every now and then during dinner service to let you know if any nocturnal animals were hanging about outside. And the way you were greeted back to lodge after every game drive by the beating of a drum. On top of that, the decor in the lodge was exquisite, the bed the most comfy bed we have ever slept in, and the animal sightings were excellent. I also really need the recipe for the game drive muesli slice. It was a long way for us to travel all the way from New Zealand, but I’m already hoping we’ll be able to return in the near future. Thanks to the Ndlovu team for such a perfect stay."
Marataba Mountain Lodge
"Mountain Lodge lived up to all the excellent reviews. The setting was stunning. Service from the team attentive and friendly. The chef produced high quality food every day. Our guide Tim went out of his way to ensure we had a once in a lifetime experience including seeing the hippos which was a must for me. We saw all the Big 5 except the elusive leopard plus lots more. We never anticipated seeing so many elephants, rhino, giraffe every day along with smaller mammals and the most colourful birds. The steps up to the lodges are certainly a challenge especially in the dark but the lodges location and views are breathtaking. We had some very close encounters with the wildlife but felt totally safe in Tim’s hands. We enjoyed the exclusive more remote location and feel privileged to have experienced this safari adventure in our special birthday year. Thank you to everyone who looked after us during our stay"
Nedile Lodge
"We loved it here. We just loved it. The staff. Superb. Quite superb. From the amazing chefs, to the “do anything” helpful staff to the funny but oh so knowledgeable Andrew (game drive leader) to the organising masterful Lisa who runs the show… everyone was simply amazing. The location. Magnificent. An awesome elevated view of the park - out of this world. The game drives. Different every day but we saw several lion, elephants, zebra, cheetah, wildebeest, warthog, etc. The only thing we didn’t see was a leopard though others in a different vehicle did. Outstanding."
