"An experience we won't repeat. We stayed at the Hotel Zulinde for four nights using a MyDays voucher. Unfortunately, the stay fell far short of our expectations. The first room was tiny with two single beds, and we had to pay an extra €40 for a different room – without receiving an invoice. Breakfast and dinner were very basic, with small portions, hardly any choice, and served without any care. Only when a tour group arrived did the food suddenly improve. The room wasn't clean upon arrival, the service was unfriendly, and there was no assigned seating in the dining room. Absolutely not recommended for the price."

"Made my booking directly on the hotel's website whilst still in England and was able to make a reservation for the Meyer Werft tour at the same time. I was aiming to arrive mid-evening on the Sunday after travelling from London via Eurostar and onward by train. Unfortunately, on arrival in Brussels, I found my connecting train to Köln had been cancelled, which had the cumulative effect of my not arriving until well after midnight. Thankfully, I phoned ahead, and the receptionist arranged for me to be able to access my room key at this late hour. No taxis at the small Papenburg train station, but many thanks to the lovely family who kindly gave me a lift in their car to the hotel! My room was lovely; clean and comfortable with good en-suite facilities, and the range of breakfast items in the dining room was truly outstanding (I particularly liked the decorated boiled eggs, including the ones the north German 'Moin-Moin' greeting :-). Friendly staff were on hand who answered my questions about the location and my Meyer Werft trip. (Tip: For Meyer Werft, the hotel will give you a printed receipt if you have booked the trip via the hotel, but you can take this to Meyer's Mühle visitor centre and get the 'official' photograph ticket as a souvenir. ) I spent two nights at Park Hotel and enjoyed my stay very much."

"The hotel Kuhr is very well maintained, the rooms are convenient and spacious, the staff are engaged and friendly. We were very satisfied with breakfast. The hotel is very central in Papenburg on the main channel. The hotel has been in family possession for 175 years, and you can really talk about a family tradition hotel."

"First, a few positive words: the landscape has liked us, ideal for biking, a regular paradise for children with a large playground, climbing park, summer roller track, etc... Now the unpleasant report comes: The hotel is destroyed. At our arrival, we were surprised to see that in the unenclosed reception there was a cross-sectional emmer in which it dropped inevitably from the top. Well, such a damage can happen. ... However, we had to find that this disgust of the roof may have been longer, because there were floors on the ceiling of the room and muddled mattress documents were discovered by us. No, there was no sense of holiday. The staff were friendly, but apparently under-occupied and made a stressful impression. As guest, you were already tended to say, “Excuse me for disturbing.” Breakfast was all right, perhaps you could offer a few more grain breads. We will not stay in this hotel anymore. Unless the hotel is cleaned from ground to ground and the staff ceiling is increased."
