"Easily booked over the phone, easy to find with adequate parking. Very reasonably priced which included breakfast. Room was a little basic but warm and clean. Hairdryer available, very basic clothes storage but we didn't need much anyway. The staff went out of their way to accommodate us and were fantastic with us and our dog. Can't praise the food highly enough; delicious, plentiful and inexpensive, we didn't need to go anywhere else. Pie night was fabulous and we loved the afternoon tea. Bar area was homely with a lovely real fire and friendly clientele. We will definitely stay here again, such value for money. "

"Well positioned at end of the Main Fareham shopping street. Large carpark that is free to use for residents. Car Park is for 24 hours from book-in time which I found useful. Friendly helpful staff. Comfortable room with desk and wi-fi. Since the weather was warm a fridge would have been handy."

"Arrived late Friday night - checked in straight away and very welcoming- no problem with ordering some food without booking and being quite busy with guests dnd the World Cup - nothing was too much - didn’t have time for breakfast but made us coffee and toast with no charge - small things but others would have stuck to strict rules - excellent short stay 👍"

"50th aniversary, not so good as earlier this year for breakfast. Bacon cooked on one side even though it was folded!!! So half of the bacon was raw and I could not eat it. One coffee machine was out of action. Button muchrooms were over heated on the display and tastless too. Can not recommend the breakfast overall. Staff courteoous but a little surly. Option to eat ouside was nice. Hash browns were balls and could not guarantee they were gluten free. £40 for that standard of breakfast for two is a bit of a p take! Not to be repeated."

"We had a voucher for Christmas for afternoon tea, the experience was OK but not as elegant as we’ve had at previous afternoon tea, now I maybe snobbish but I expect proper sugar not sachets, we found the dining room a bit cold and had to keep our coats on. The tea itself wasn’t bad but basic, we had the Prosecco tea booked but at no stage was we offered Prosecco, the service was OK and efficient, I found the cutlery poor and had to clean before use the table cloth had a couple of stains, the sandwiches, scones and cakes were nice and they did box up the cakes that were left for us. Overall if I was paying for this I would be disappointed."
