"This one of the best hotels I have stayed at it was extremely clean and every single one of the staff went out of their way to make our stay very very comfortable the breakfast was fantastic. And it made a pleasant change to not be ripped off when you’re having drinks around the pool like some other hotels. The prices were very very competitive. It also ideally placed for the promenade in Garda which took about three or four minutes to walk to. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel andwe will be coming back next year. Also I would like to give a little thanks to radu who was brilliant with his one liners, thanks😁"

"Lunch Review (Outdoor Terrace) ​Having lunch outside at Locanda San Vigilio was an absolute highlight of our trip. The setting is super relaxing with just the right amount of buzz, and it’s a huge plus that they’re dog-friendly! ​We ordered a few dishes to share, and everything was top tier. The melon with prosciutto was incredibly refreshing, the crab was outstanding, and the braised meat with burrata completely blew us away with its flavor. Exceptional quality, spot-on service, and total value for money. Highly recommend grabbing a table outside if you can. ​Dinner Review (Hotel Restaurant) ​We came back in the evening to dine inside the hotel restaurant. While the food quality is clearly high and the staff were wonderfully attentive with great recommendations, the flavors just didn't quite live up to the high price tag. The salted fish and the pasta were good, just not mind-blowing. ​The biggest downside was the bugs. Since the lighting relies on small table lamps right next to the lake, insects constantly landed in our food and drinks. Given the upscale nature of the place, they really need a better setup for insect control. ​Tip: Make sure to book well in advance for a good table, and dress up a bit since they do enforce a dress code at the entrance."

"Awful hotel, only the location is5/5. One man (owner?) is unpolite: he loves german turists but other are like second class turists. He yells which is not good customer service. There should be more english instructions in the hotel. If u need breakfast box be ready that he dont want to give u that. Rooms are oldish and one buf I saw there. If u go there keep your clothes inside luggage. Cleaners dosent come everyday and they dont want to do their job like chaching towels or vacuuming the floor. I paid over 800e for one week and should know this before that cleaners are just waiting your tip. Ps. If u dont want to be cleaner change your career. Its your problem"

Everything was there, even if the coffee wasn't great. For dinner, you can choose between three dishes for the starter and main course – it was really good."

"The hotel is a great base from which to explore Lake Garda. Yes the decor is a little dated but the rooms are a good size and are clean and comfortable and tended to daily. The food is plentiful, tasty and offers a good choice, both at breakfast and in the evening. Snacks are available from the bar. Speaking of which, the bar and reception area is ideal, welcoming, comfortable and a good size so everyone can spread out during the day and at busier times such as the evenings. One night we had live music and there was plenty of room for dancing without being on top of those who just wanted a drink and a chat. Worth mentioning the cocktails (pina coladas well worth trying), all reasonably priced. The pool is an asset, very clean and also a good size and depth. The team at the hotel are all very welcoming, attentive and very friendly, working exceptionally hard to ensure you have an enjoyable stay. Happy to recommend this hotel and look forward to hopefully returning another year. Thanks to the team for their hospitality."

"Stayed at this place for a couple of nights prior to our flight from Venice. Very quiet, large and beautiful territory with all kinds of sport activities. You can have a nice walk any time of day and night - the place feels very safe. It was such a pity that the outdoor pool was open but stone cold. I would love to have a swim. But it was partially compensated by indoor SPA. You need to book it and that`s an extra but the fascility is nice. The room was spacious and quiet. A kettle, mini fridge, hairdrier and everything provided. And breakfasts were amazing! Will definitely be back."

"We stayed as a family group of 3 adults and one child (6). This hotel was everything we could’ve ever dreamed and more! The hotel itself and the grounds and stunning and beautifully maintained… the views are to die for and the staff are so accommodating, it was a an absolute dream to stay here. We spent time in the spa, around the pool and enjoyed an al fresco breakfast each morning. The shuttle into town is a very welcomed service the hotel provides. So easy and convenient! We also booked a wine tasting in the hotel’s own wine tasting, which was wonderful. Andrea was very knowledgeable and friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed this experience and found the price very reasonable. Special thanks to Ilaria for help booking transfers and tours for us and always being so welcoming. Jada was also wonderful and Roberto and Claudia in the lounge and at breakfast, always so accommodating. Apologies for missing anyone, the staff here really are a credit to the hotel and make it extra special. I honestly couldn’t recommend this hotel enough, you can tell they pride themselves with perfection. It’s an exceptionally high standard and we can’t wait to visit again!"

"I think I would describe this hotel as basic, quaint and comfortable. Quaint as in its rooms and safes are locked with an actual key, which is unusual in my experience. Basic as in the rooms are plainly decorated, however, there are essentials like a very large mirror in the room over the 'dressing table', and an even larger one in the bathroom. I found the bed comfortable, but the pillows were quite hard. If you are on the large side, or have mobility issues, I don't think the shower would be suitable for you. It was very small, and when trying to bend down to wash my feet, I needed to be a contortianist! I also had to hang on for dear life as the bottom of the shower was extremely slippery. One minor criticism I would make is that they left the top sheet folded on top of the bed. I know it was hot, but the last thing I felt like doing, at the age of 77, and with a bad back, was bending down to tuck a sheet in when I arrived. I would have thought it much better for the bed to be made, then it would be easy enough to pull the sheet back if it wasn't needed. The breakfast was fairly basic - don't expect a full English. The only cooked food there was was something that resembled scrambled egg, and some hard boiled eggs. However, all the usual ham, cheese, yoghurts were in good supply, along with a few pastries. Also melon, pineapple and apples were in abundance. Sadly, there were no bananas until the day I left, which was disappointing for me. I couldn't fault the staff. Most of the waiters/waitresses were cheerful and friendly. A couple who weren't very smiley I put down to being tired as they work so hard. I must give a special mention to Emmanuel, who always served me with my cappucino in the morning at breakfast, and Alex, who was always bright and cheery in the evenings. Susana in Reception was extremely helpful. The two lovely cleaning ladies were always friendly and smiling. The hotel is very convenient, both for the ferries, and for the little supermarket just round the corner, and I enjoyed my stay there. As for gratuities, which another reviewer complained about - I didn't hear them mentioned once in ten days!"

"Brilliant location , was on a tour meals nice choose at the breakfast for the evening meal .no bar , rooms cleaned daily small fridge .no tea making already knew so took own kettle etc .my room wasn't the best 124 as only had a small window & looked out onto a roof I did ask to move but full hotel. Would have been perfect if front with balcony. As had an early return flight they did give us a breakfast pack up .would recommend as good location & beautiful view looking out of restaurant."

"A pretty disappointing experience overall. The property is very old and very n urgent need of renovation and repairs. Eg. Hot tub outside doesn’t work, ac was out of order, etc. The pictures they use to advertise are not reflective of the current state of the property. The staff are not very friendly and border on rude. "A room partitioned with a half-wall and a desk is called a suite? We forgot our toothbrushes and contacted the hotel, only to be told they don't provide them. The value for money is poor. There's no lake view, and the shower drain is clogged; the water overflows after a short time. Our check-out time is 10 AM, which is unreasonable. Our daughter was prevented from entering the hotel when she came to visit, told it's a hotel rule that outsiders aren't allowed. Utterly absurd! The parking lot has very few spaces and is terrible; it's extremely difficult to park without considerable driving skill. The front desk said their own boss gets scratched three times a year driving here. It's unacceptable that a hotel with such facilities and service can charge nearly 2600 yuan per night!"

"Fantastic hotel and staff with a great attitude. What a wonderful week we have had at La Perla. Will I stay again? Definitely. Would I recommend? Definitely. The rooms were great and cleaned everyday during our stay. The room was a nice size, with a large bathroom. Plenty of storage space. The fridge is always a good addition. Hair dyer was good. Pool towels provided with a handy carry bag. Dining at La Perla was really good. Plenty of good quality food choices topped off with wine. The staff are so attentive and helpful you could not have asked for anymore. The pool is great especially for the size of the hotel. It is set in the most beautiful surroundings and catches the sun all day. The pool bar team were lovely. Keep up the good work La Perla team."

"This is a good hotel with a great swimming pool one of the best in Garda. The reception is sub standard with one person dealing with the front desk and taking calls from the rooms including room service. Possibly someone in the little office who makes no attempt to come and help with either checkin or questions. The pool staff are very mixed with one very friendly and nice but one young man rather unhelpful and vey keen to ignore one with only two couples to serve which takes technique! Very bad wifi generally and almost nonexistent on the third floor. T V very poor with no news channels in English/American! Positives - Clean, very well situated, very good breakfast, good size rooms with hanging space and plenty of draws. Some quite easy tweaks at not a great cost from the management would improve things considerably."

"My partner and I stayed here for 7 nights in August and had a wonderful time. The hotel is spotless, even the pool area, rooms are cleaned daily and fresh linen every 4 days. Staff are helpful and welcoming and can't do enough for you. Breakfast is pastries, fruit, yoghurt, eggs, bacon, hot dog, bread/toast, juices and tea/coffee. It's plenty for what you need of a morning. Everything is constantly topped up and the staff work so hard to keep the area tidy. The room is perfect size for 2 adults. There are electric shutters on the windows to keep the light out, Aircon went down to 21° which was perfect when it was 38° outside. Shower is nice but can notice a drop in water pressure when it's a popular time to shower. The lift is small but adequate for 2 adults and suitcases. The pool looks small but is actually fine for the amount of people who use it. There are never any issues getting sunbeds. The only downside to the pool area is the sun goes behind the building infront by about 3pm so everything is in the shade at that time. The pool has a jacuzzi area (button on the inside of the corner) and it also has a jet coming out of the wall by the shower that you can swim against. You are given a beach bag with one towel per person that you can use for free and they will change the towels on the 4th day. The hotel accepts dogs which I didn't know and they are allowed everywhere in the hotel including the restaurant and pool area, they just aren't allowed in the pool. The hotel is on a busy road (not a main road but it's used frequently) and it can be loud at times. It's also in a built up area and the bins were being emptied at 5am one morning which wasn't great. The hotel is a 2 minute walk away from the main Garda town with beautiful streets and plenty of places to eat. 10 minutes to the "beach" and about 5 minutes to the ferry dock. Overall we loved our stay and would book again if we came back to the area."

"Location - super. Atmosphere - dated but nice enough Rooms - super clean. Air conditioning terrible. Room gets cool around 3/4am. (I know this because I’ve been trying to sleep all night and as I write this at 0342 I’ve finally felt the temperature drop slightly, same for last night too. Noise level - low Value - average If you need to go to the reception it’s across the road in another hotel. The keys are on a chain. So if you need to pop over to ask a question, you need to take the keys with you, whoever is in then left in the room has no power. If you don’t take the keys you can’t get back into your hotel. Stupid really. No tea/coffee station. Shame. Other than that yeah it’s ok"
