"It was at least 20 years ago when my husband and I were on a road trip from the UK, and came upon the village of Gerlos, and the fabulous hotel Gaspingerhof, we visited many times after that first visit. I have just returned from a 10 day stay with a friend.The hotel is immaculate, the food and staff first class, not many English people visit Gerlos but that’s not a reason not to, the walking is spectacular, five valley walks and many mountain trails for the more adventurous hiker, the hotel has a resident guide to accompany you if you wish. There are a number of hotels in the village, we never booked somewhere different there was no need to. We have never been during the skiing season, but the hotel is fully booked, that’s the best recommendation you can get. Google the village of Gerlos Austria, in the beautiful region of the Zitteral Alps and especially the hotel Gaspingerhof."

"We (2 couples) had a very pleasant stay at this authentic family hotel during our week of winter sports. Nothing was too much trouble and the service was amazing. A special shout-out to hostess Sabine, who went above and beyond for us. Our room was cleaned every day. Breakfast and dinner were delicious and well-prepared. We had a wonderful holiday together. The hotel is well located, just a 10-meter walk from where the ski bus passes by, and is 2 stops away from the ski lift, so you are on the lift up within 4 minutes. Parking is easy right in front of the door. The CinCin is also right next door, far enough away that you don't hear the noise 😂 we only went there once. The hotel is a bit noisy, but that is the case with most hotels in Austria. We did sleep well every night, though."

"Poor hotel, 3 star at best. Parking issues and no water in the fridge! Breakfast was very basic and coffee was the worst I’ve tasted this year. No air conditioning so hot in bed and slept poorly. Just needs a bit more to make it a welcoming hotel as nice spot near a river."

"The hotel is incredibly well located, in front of the ski lift one of the most beautiful ski areas in the Ziller Valley. Parking is possible in the deep garage (costly) or outside on the parking lot. The rooms are generous and offer a living and a bedroom. The wellness area is beautifully designed and has a pool, a bathroom (not opened now) and a very modern sauna area with a Finnish sauna, a lem sauna (my favorite) and a steam bath and infrared room. The rest area was very modern and pleasant with free tea and apples. Eating has always tasted very well for me. At breakfast there was everything the heart wanted, including a "egg" cooking station where you could prepare a rhetoric, omelet or pancakes. However, there is only one full coffee machine for all guests, There was a regular snake before the coffee machine in the morning. From 14 to 16 a afternoon cake with soups, salads, cheese selection as well as two hot dishes and a 5-gang menu (fish, meat or Ayurveda). Drinks are not included except for breakfast and the drink prices have it in itself. A gin tonic at the bar over €20!!!! I also had a cane pepper mint tea and got a whole tea bag for my cane (excluding sugar and others) and the cups were unfortunately so badly isolated that my tea was unfortunately cold after the drawing time. This should not happen at € 6.20 for a candy tea. Otherwise a great house with beautiful walkways and dreamy location."

"This was a fantastic high standard family-run hotel that exceeded any expectations we had. Our experience from the moment we checked in until we left was always met with friendly easy-going family and staff. The room and bathroom were of a high standard and always cleaned to a high standard. The wellness is an experience if not for the view but the different saunas available. The breakfast cannot be faulted every taste is catered for and fresh every day. This is a high-standard run by a lovely family who take pride in their little piece of heaven which they have designed and are running so well. We certainly left feeling refreshed and relaxed. Thank you"

"Very friendly owner, good breakfast with perdonel touch, judt in opposite of the ski slope Dorfbahn. We had a stay with friends , no dinner in the hotel but within a few meters enough restos and bars👍 Also Gerlos is a nice small village with a lot to do!"
