HuaTing Hotel(Guyuan City Government Store) ★★★

📍 No. 114, No. 1 Comprehensive Building, Agricultural Supplies City, North Side of Changchengliang, Yinping Road, Yuanzhou District, Guyuan

"First, the hygiene was appalling; the restrooms were covered in hair. Second, the breakfast was terrible—15 yuan per person for just steamed buns, pickled vegetables, and porridge. Third, the front desk staff were poorly trained, repeatedly calling people by the wrong name. I don't know how they came to have such a high rating."

Wanhe Hotel ★★★★

📍 Zhongshan North Street, Yuanzhou District, Guyuan

"I went out for breakfast this morning, grabbed my breakfast voucher, but forgot my room key. After closing the door, I ran into six staff members in the hallway. Some were checking rooms, others were cleaning. I greeted them, but the person checking rooms glanced at me and ignored me. So I went to the cleaning room and said, "Hello, I forgot my room key. Could you swipe it for me so I can get it?" I asked which room it was and waited outside, but no one came. I said "Hello" several times, but they pretended not to hear me. I spoke up to them, and they started giving me the runaround again. Don't they understand? I went to the restaurant to get a replacement card and then went back to breakfast. When they started clearing the room, I said there was no more breakfast. The staff member in white ignored me and continued clearing the room. Then the staff member in a suit said there was still porridge, and the two staff members in white continued clearing the room. I thought the staff could at least ask if we needed anything before clearing the room. Is that so difficult? At that moment, I just hoped the restaurant wouldn't go out of business! The electrical wire next to the toilet is right next to a shower; aren't they afraid of getting electrocuted? The elevator is so dirty—it's obvious it hasn't been cleaned in ages! Terrible service and an absolutely awful environment."

HuaTing Hotel(Guyuan City Government Store) ★★★
"Hygiene: There were urine stains on the toilet that hadn't been cleaned, and the showerhead was in another area, so it didn't flush the toilet very effectively. There was also hair on the bedside table. Environment: The area around the sofa and table was damp and had a musty smell, but the smell wasn't very noticeable near the bed. If the hygiene had been improved, it would have been a very good value hotel. It's very close to the highway exit, making it suitable as a transit hotel. The rooms are also quite large."

Huaqi Earl Hotel ★★★★
"I was traveling with my family to Guyuan for National Day. We booked the Huaqi Hotel, a hotel we'd previously stayed at, because of our company agreement. When we got to the room, it was freezing cold, and the air conditioner wasn't heating. I asked the front desk for a heater, but they didn't have one. After much back-and-forth, they finally got one. My child wanted to watch TV, but the remote didn't work. After several attempts, we finally fixed it. The next morning, when we went to breakfast, the waiter stopped us and told us there would be an extra charge for our child. My child is eight years old, and we've traveled with him to Beijing, Shanghai, Inner Mongolia, and Xi'an. This was the first time I'd been told there was a breakfast charge. It didn't make sense, but after some discussion, I was told it was. It was a bit awkward."

"It's very close to the highway and has its own parking lot, making it convenient and driver-friendly. The wet and dry areas are separated, and the washbasin is small and can't accommodate anything. The breakfast was filling, but the service attitude of both the breakfast room staff and the front desk staff could be improved."
