"The staff were very helpful, accommodated me on everything (Im deaf) single room queen size bed, clean bathroom, had everything i needed to prepare for my marathon. Can leave your bags with them and they will give you # chips to return and pick up your bags later which is what I did after I finished my marathon and returned to the hotel. Then I went back to tokyo but im thinking I should've gotten one more night in hitachi because the city is beautiful and the food is good.only 2 photos were taken from inside my hotel room facing out the big building and the sumo on tv."

"The hotel room was an orthodox Japanese-style room. It was well-cleaned. For dinner, we had monkfish hotpot in the restaurant in the separate building. As you would expect from authentic monkfish, it was delicious. The young proprietress gave us a concise explanation of the different parts of the fish, and prepared them efficiently, which made the meal even more delicious. The next day's breakfast was a sumptuous one, complete with ozoni (traditional Japanese soup), as it was New Year's Day. I would definitely like to return if I have the opportunity."

"I was participating in a local running event and originally planned to pay extra for a late check-out so I could shower. But on the day of the race, they offered complimentary shower facilities for guests who had already checked out, which saved me 2000 yen! The only downside was a slight urine smell in the room's toilet... otherwise, everything else was great. I'd definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm here for a run!"

"There is no elevator, so carrying our luggage up to the third floor and going up and down the stairs to the breakfast area on the basement floor were a bit tough. The breakfast was light and good for an elderly couple, but we thought there were not many vegetables. There were a variety of shampoos in the amenity corner, and it was fun to try the silicone shampoo and conditioner, which I had never purchased before, even though it was a little pricey. It made my hair soft and smooth, which I was happy about. The staff were very friendly, and their Ibaraki dialect was great. Next time, I'd like to try the bar in the basement!"

"The hotel itself isn't new, but I thought it was very clean. The female staff at the front desk were extremely helpful and polite. They offered unlimited soft drinks and alcohol, and the room was clean. There was a sign saying that the cloakroom door in the room was broken and wouldn't close completely, but it didn't bother me much as I was just using the room. The price was also reasonable, so I would like to stay there again when I go to Hitachi."
