However, regarding the facilities, the bathroom was below expectations — both the main shower and the hand shower were not functioning properly, and the bathroom window glass was broken, compromising privacy. Although I did not raise a formal complaint at the time due to lesser concerns over security and privacy, these issues were notable. Despite these inconveniences, I requested a late checkout extension of 1–2 hours and even offered to pay for the additional time. Unfortunately, the hotel did not accommodate this request, which was disappointing, especially considering this was my third consecutive stay at the property, each time for three nights."

"I have stayed at Fortune Park Panchwati multiple times in the past and was always welcomed warmly, which is why this recent experience was extremely disappointing. I booked a room this time at a higher rate of ₹4500 + GST, whereas earlier I used to stay under a corporate arrangement for around ₹3800. Despite agreeing to pay the increased price without any issue, I was allotted an old, non-renovated room. At the time of booking, nobody informed me that I was being assigned a different category of room compared to my previous stays. When I politely raised this concern, the Front Office Manager, Mr. Debabrata Mukherjee, responded in a highly rude, dismissive, and unprofessional manner. Instead of handling the situation courteously, he said that renovated rooms are “club rooms” and that I had only paid for a deluxe room. He further remarked that I was “creating a ruckus over just paying extra ₹500,” which was extremely disrespectful and unnecessary. What made the experience worse was his toxic tone and complete lack of customer sensitivity. At one point, he even mentioned that “the hotel is operating in loss,” which is absolutely not something a guest should be made to hear or feel responsible for. Eventually, in an irritated manner, he instructed his colleague to give me the renovated room anyway — which clearly showed that the issue could have been handled politely from the very beginning instead of humiliating a regular guest. It is unfortunate that one person’s rude and arrogant behavior has completely ruined the reputation of a hotel I once preferred regularly. Hospitality is not just about rooms — it is about respect, communication, and customer experience. Sadly, Mr. Debabrata Mukherjee failed on all three fronts and has likely cost the hotel a loyal repeat customer."
