Chalet Hotel Alp'Azur
"Lovely place in a great location, with very friendly and welcoming staff. I thought it was very reasonably priced for the quality of accommodation. It has a warm and traditional chalet feel and was spotlessly clean at all times. We were a group of three, 1 adult, 2 teenage boys (16 and 18) and stayed in a triple room (room 21). The room was nicely decorated, the 3 single beds were comfortable, the bathroom was a decent size, the shower was powerful and always hot. Our room didn't have a balcony, as not every room does, but this didn't bother us particularly. It was a South-facing room, and the view was superb. Breakfast - continental with high quality breads, pastries, cheeses, meats, eggs, cereal, quiche and tarts. Perfect. Wifi - free, not quite up to streaming, but fine for everything else. Ski and boot storage - plenty room in the ski room accessed from outside. Boot room with dryers/warmers accessible from reception. Nearby - 3 ski rental shops within a few meters of the hotel, loads of restaurants and bars within a very short walk. Ski access - bucket lift across the road which takes you to the bottom of the pistes. You can ski back to the hotel, but it's pretty flat so not much good on a snowboard! Criticisms - nothing of note. The room was too hot on the first night, even with the radiator switched off. Open the window in the evening and it's fine, as long as there is no-one singing on the street in the early hours! If I return to Alpe d'Huez, I'll probably go back to this hotel."
Royal Ours Blanc Boutique Hôtel & Spa
"Very good hotel right in the middle of the station"
Hotel et Spa l'Eclose by Odalys
"We were incorrectly charged tourist tax by the hotel. Something they revealed by accident when we asked to settle our bill for breakfast. They decided not to charge for breakfast, but still owed us an outstanding balance. They did not refund us on the day but asked that we email our details. Despite repeated attempts to gain the refund they have still not done so. Fellow travellers beware."
Le Pic Blanc
"Arrival at 15:30 to get my room reservation for 16h. I had to raise the tone at 17:30 because I still had no room. Seeing the floor room in the hall of my room, faced with the lifts was not worthy of a 4-star. The entrance of the hotel is not open, full of snow and smoke on the ground or cracked on the top of the hotel's letter box."
Le Castillan
"Great hotel, nice and friendly staff. Clean and good rooms, with plenty space for equipment. Great basement for safe bicycle parking, and a small workshop!"
Grandes Rousses Hotel & Spa
"My wife and I stayed for 3 nights whilst I did the Marmotte bike ride. The hotel and staff were fantastic, we could not have asked for more. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel facilities were great."
PopAlp
"The staff are very welcoming and friendly. Location was fantastic and the views from the room amazing. Room was a good size for what was needed. It also overlooks directly on the Tourist finish of Alp D'Huez for any other cyclists interested! I tried the dinner on one night, couldn't fault it, was what I needed after a day of cycling. Within a stonethrow away from further dining and shops. Great value for money and would definately book there again."
Résidence Odalys l'Éclose
"Main concern! Deposit has not been returned and there has been 0 info from the hotels as to why. Also, contacting the hotel is a nightmare. Someone please give me my 500€ back! Thank you. Overall stay is fine if you don’t expect any luxury and spend all your time outside the apartment and just use it to sleep. (A bit pricey for what it is) Small, super used, quite dirty, no extra nothing, ski room laughable. But staff was quite nice, and the building is close to the slopes. Spa was fine"
Hôtel Au Chamois d'Or by les Etincelles
"attentive and friendly staff, beautiful interior and perfect location at the main lifts. Only weakness was the breakfast buffet execution. Breakfast order mistakes, dirty dinnerware, broken egg boiler and cold hotplates that were not noticed by staff over multiple days suggests work process problems that were largely overcome by friendly staff."
