Belle Virrey Finca Hotel ★★★★

"Starting with the good things, friendly staff during check in, free parking, the room was clean and nice (except for the shower which had zero pressure and the empty minibar without any water at all) and the aircon worked pretty well. Bed was huge and really comfortable. Breakfast was nice on the terrace, decent choice.
Now for the rest… We only discovered the day before our booking that the restaurant would be closed for dinner the night of our stay as they had an event (and only discovered it because I contacted them to check if we needed a reservation for the dinner!). This hotel is pretty much in the middle of nowhere and one of its main attractions is supposed to be the restaurant. Anyway, we arrived there and found out that the event was a wedding, which took place between 6ish pm and midnight and it was very noisy! They had microphones, music, etc, and all under our windows. To be fair, they moved somewhere else exactly at midnight, but as a family with small children this was not what we wanted or were expecting based on the hotel website.
Next morning we decided to go for a swim in the pool before checking out, but the pool had poo on it. At that point no one had closed the pool yet even though it was supposed to be open and available. There were also cigarette butts on the grass around, obviously from the wedding party that hadn’t been cleaned.
I was expecting the staff at checkout to ask how our stay had been but I suspect they knew the answer wouldn’t be nice, as they were already apologising to the person checking out in front of me.
All in all a waste of our money and had I known about the wedding in advance, I would have cancelled my booking and found something else."

"Lovely quite hotel, central to the island so easy to visit most parts of Mallorca. Chema is a knowledgeable and very friendly host. The breakfast is really good. We are vegetarian and there was no problem catering for us. The swimming pool is great and we took advantage of it every day during our stay. There is a wonderful selection of restaurants in the surrounding towns of Sineu, Sencelles and Costitx. We had a lovely spacious room at the top of the hotel which was cleaned every day. We had a fantastic holiday staying at Agroturismo Ses Illes. Almost forgot – you will absolutely love the frogs in the pond at the front of the hotel, everyone stops to watch them!"
