"My husband and I stayed at the Zen Hotel for 6 days. It's an excellent hotel, new and modern. The hotel's concept revolves around harmony and relaxation, with natural materials used throughout, which was very pleasant. The service was also excellent. All the ladies at the reception and the housekeepers responded immediately to our requests and did everything they could to ensure our comfort.
Room 209 on the 2nd floor was large and bright. In addition to the usual amenities, it had a sofa, a mini-bar, a safe, a capsule coffee machine, and a ceramic electric kettle with a selection of accompanying goodies: coffee and tea bags for every taste, and candies. The bathroom also met high service standards: touch-sensor soap dispensers and a waste bin, wall-mounted dispensers with shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner. The scent was pleasant. There was also a standard set of towels and other toiletries. Slippers were in the room, and bathrobes were brought upon request. The hotel also had a sauna and a fitness room. A pillow menu was available. The window offered a view of the Neman River and the railway bridge. Fortunately, trains crossed the bridge infrequently, about 3 times a day.
Our only suggestion would be to provide lighter duvets for summer. The available duvet was very warm. We had to use two sheets to sleep under, as one wasn't enough, but the duvet was too hot.
Any shortcomings were not related to the Zen Hotel but to the Sherwood restaurant, where the hotel breakfasts are served. There were 4 options to choose from: English, Scandinavian, Belarusian, or porridge + syrniki. Each was priced at 35 Belarusian rubles on the menu. The price for a plate of any of these breakfasts and one drink of choice (tea, coffee) was significantly overpriced. The cappuccino was not tasty, with too much milk. I can't even imagine what their latte would be like. One time, we had to wait almost an hour for breakfast! Although there were always very few hotel guests in the restaurant. However, the waiter Nikita tried very hard to please us in every way.
My suggestion: instead of continental breakfasts, offer a regular buffet, like in other places.
Overall, our stay at this hotel was very decent and comfortable."
