"I drove to western Sichuan and arrived at Danba. I found that most of the hotels on Ctrip were homestays, so I chose Hanting. Unexpectedly, the room was bigger than I expected. The hotel was very eye-catching and was on the other side of the river. The lady at the front desk was very enthusiastic. She helped me get a membership and gave me a 50 yuan coupon, which allowed me to have breakfast for 4 people for 49 yuan."

"The room was spacious, the mattress was comfortable, and the latex pillows were incredibly supportive. The bathroom was clean and tidy, with clear hot and cold water separations, consistent water temperature, and generous flow. The top floor features a convenient laundry and drying room. The view from the village's first observation deck is excellent, and the air conditioning was effective. The B&B provided breakfast, including freshly ground soy milk, preserved egg and lean meat porridge, and incredibly fragrant corn tortillas that I'll never forget. The chili scrambled eggs were also delicious! The breakfast was very varied. The owner warmly welcomed us, offering us watermelon treats and helping with our luggage. The staff proactively greeted us and offered to help with our luggage. Check-in was quick and efficient, making me feel at home.
The staff recommended itineraries tailored to my interests and availability, avoiding congested routes. The natural environment is beautiful, and I could see a panoramic view of Jiaju ******* Village from the window. The fresh air and tranquility of the village were simply stunning. "Danba County in Ganzi Prefecture was a completely unfamiliar place for us. Having just come from the high-altitude area of Mount Siguniang, we needed to rest and recuperate at a lower altitude, so we chose the Jimei Hotel in Danba County. The suite we stayed in was well-equipped and comfortable, with a view of the most beautiful scenery in the county from the window. That evening, we bumped into the head waitress, Han Yinmei, at the hotel reception. We wanted to chat and learn more about Danba County, and Han Yinmei's sweet smile immediately drew our attention. We greeted her and started talking. During our conversation, we felt her warmth, and she introduced us to the local customs and traditions. Her politeness made us feel very comfortable, demonstrating excellent professionalism. When we learned that she came from a ******* village in Danba County and hadn't received much formal education, but had achieved her current job through her own hard work, we truly admired her. We knew she must have worked much harder than others to achieve this. Our brief interaction left a deep and positive impression on this beautiful, poised, and eloquent ******* receptionist."

"We stayed for two nights and the view from the room is stunning. The tibetan-styled decoration is amazing and makes all the difference, but there were also a few downsides which I have to mention.
- For someone that does not speak Chinese, it is very hard to find. So we will write here how we did: from Tagong we took a shared vehicle to Bamei. From there, we took another shared vechicle to Danba, and from Danba, there are rural shared vehicles that will take you to Jiaju. I attach the image of the road sign where you need to get off. There is an entry fee to Jiaju town.
- Regarding this rural vehicle, comes the biggest disappointment of our stay, as we asked the owner of the hotel to call a vehicle for us (there is no other way to leave) and he replied “you can look for yourself and if you cannot find one, I will help you”… without a Chinese phone number and without speaking Chinese, it is impossible to call a local driver. So we mentioned this, and he called one driver. When we asked how much we should pay, he say 50 yuan for two people, same as he told us to pay on the way here, but his wife was there and got very angry at him because the real price was 15 yuan per person, and he was part of the rip off.
The lady was very friendly and helpful, on the other side, so we want to thank her for her help as she tried to help us.
Despite this, we still reccommend you to come as it is a beautiful place and there are walking paths that you can use to walk everywhere in town.
The shared toilet was not a problem, hot water works well."

"The hotel is easy to find, just by the road. All toiletries in the room are disposable and all facilities are available. The company sent me some information when I was on a business trip, and my boss helped me print it out without asking for money. He is such a nice person! Stayed for a few days, it was very comfortable, very quiet, and I had a good rest. The parking lot is super large, free, very convenient, and there is no detour. After parking the car, I took the elevator directly upstairs. It was very friendly for us on business trips, and very cost-effective!"

During my trip to western Sichuan, I really want to give this B&B a 5-star rating. The appearance of the B&B has a unique Tibetan style, the interior decoration is modern and simple, the facilities are complete, and the rooms are warm and comfortable. The boss is sincere and enthusiastic, and the wife is capable and generous. I checked in relatively late that day, and the landlady even helped me cook the food, which was so considerate. When you come here, you must try their delicious chicken soup hot pot. I tasted the long-lost aroma of chili pepper here, the taste of my childhood. In short, if you come to Jiaju Zangzhai, this is a highly recommended B&B that will bring you the warmth of home.

Excellent stay overall. The cleanliness was outstanding. The rooms are very spacious, with new, premium-quality mattresses that are very comfortable. The air conditioning worked perfectly, which made a big difference. The guesthouse is built in a beautiful traditional local style, giving it a very authentic atmosphere. During our stay we were the only guests, which allowed us to enjoy the warm hospitality of the family and even share delicious meals with them, a really special experience. They also kindly helped us find a reliable driver at a good price to explore the surrounding area. Highly recommended.

The owner of this place is incredibly kind and friendly. I felt an instant connection and could talk comfortably, even though we had never met before — maybe because we share many similar interests. The accommodation is located in a Tibetan village and decorated in a mix of Tibetan and modern styles. Every item is part of the owner’s personal collection, and the entire place was decorated by the owner with great care and attention to detail. All the furniture and amenities — from the soap to the electrical appliances — are of excellent quality. Even the yogurt in the fridge was delicious. What I loved most were the homemade breakfast and dinner, which were both absolutely delicious. At night, I had a great conversation with the owner about local travel routes, followed their suggestions the next day, and it turned out to be perfect. For me, it was a truly meaningful one-night stay. The owner also maintains the place spotlessly clean, and you can conveniently park your car right in front of the hotel.

My husband and I had a wonderful one-night stay in this hostel. Upon check-in, the hostel automatically upgraded our room to the next bigger size, without any additional charge. The room is super clean with perfect white sheets and towels. The hostess then introduced us to hike up from her hostel. The hike was easy with a few mooing cows walked past us, and the historic trees were just amazingly beautiful, not to mention the thousand-year's old towers to admire for. After the hike, we then sat down comfortably in the dining room to enjoy a simple but tasteful home-cooked meal. That night, I slept the best and longest during my entire 6-day's trip. Next morning, after a bowl of hot noodles with eggs and veggies, the hostess invited us to walk up to her own tower and even offered to take photos for us from the best spot. I highly recommended this hostel.

We had an absolutely amazing 1 night at this place and wish we could of stayed more if we weren’t in a rush to do our road trip. The owners and even the construction workers were so friendly, we especially loved the owners little 4 month old puppy who we played with for hours The room was very clean and a comfortable bed. We also got offered dinner (unfortunately we had already ate before going) but we did get breakfast and it was nice! The rooftop area is absolutely beautiful aswell Will highly recommend and maybe in the future stay again if we come back to china Thank you so much again, you were wonderful 🙏❤️

We had the most pleasant stay here. The guesthouse was a little hard to find in the dark, so the owner came outside to the parking to pick us up and even carried my bag. He was very welcoming, considerate and helpful during our stay. We had everything we needed, the room was beautifully decorated and clean. The provided traditional breakfast was outstanding (corn bread, rice porridge, cooked eggplant, cucumber salad and sour cabbage)! Most of the ingredients come fresh out of the garden. There is also a menu with many other delicious dishes that you can order for lunch and dinner. When we left, the owner organized the transport for us back to Danba and took us to the ”station”. We highly recommend staying in this wonderful guesthouse and gorgeous little town Jiaju!
