"Unexpectedly good, perhaps my expectations weren't high to begin with. First off, the room was on the executive floor with a lake view, and the scenery was excellent, even better at night. I have photos to prove it, and I was very satisfied with this. There are also popular photo spots like the telephone booth nearby. The food street is within walking distance, and the Livestock Research Institute is great for a visit. Further afield, the Gaodong Tunnels are also fantastic! The executive lounge offered standard snacks and drinks, but their special cocktail was a fruity drink with a hint of alcohol, which was right up my alley. The breakfast included incredibly delicious braised pork rice. You could add as much braised pork as you liked, and it was even better than the braised pork rice I had at two popular Kinmen influencer restaurants over the past couple of days. The breakfast selection was also quite rich. The room itself was great in all aspects, with a separate wet and dry area in the bathroom. The only thing I wasn't used to was that they only provided one reusable bottle for water (I've traveled all over the world, and many hotels in Europe and America aren't this 'eco-friendly'), but it's a minor detail. The fridge also had complimentary drinks. So, all in all, it's a five-star review! I highly recommend staying at this hotel!"

"This was my first time in Kinmen, and I was absolutely delighted with the room I stayed in. The hostel itself is incredibly well-equipped, with everything you could possibly need. The owner is also incredibly kind and enthusiastic. Everyone in the common areas chatted happily, creating a very friendly atmosphere full of human warmth. 🥹 Check-in and check-out were entirely self-service. The owner contacted me promptly and provided very detailed video instructions, which was super convenient and friendly for introverts. 😋👌🏻 The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean. A clean environment always makes me feel more comfortable and at ease! The mattress, duvet, and pillows in the room felt incredibly soft. Lying down, I just wanted to melt into the bed and not think about anything. The location is also incredibly convenient. It's just a few minutes' walk from Jincheng Station, and there's a 7-Eleven, Cosmed, and many famous local specialty stores right next door. The bus stop being so close by was a huge comfort for someone like me who's not great at riding electric scooters. 🥹 Restaurants, snacks, and bubble tea shops are all within easy reach. Getting to and from the pier only takes about twenty to thirty minutes (excluding waiting time), which made my trip feel less rushed. Overall, when you're traveling solo to a faraway place (okay, maybe not *that* far) on a budget, having a small, comforting place to stay really brings a lot of peace of mind and warmth. 🥹 The value for money is exceptional. And Kinmen is truly beautiful! I'll definitely come back if I get the chance!!"

"Environment: Quiet but relatively remote Service: Relatively satisfactory Different from hotels in China, maybe they advocate simplicity and environmental protection, so the cups for brushing teeth and the cups in the breakfast room are disposable cups. At present, there are no hotels in China that use keys to open the door, but they still use keys to open the door, which is a bit uncomfortable. I forgot to lock the door before going out several times, and ran back to lock the door. The sound insulation is not good, and the guests outside can hear the conversation clearly. The washbasin only has a basin, no table. The dry and wet separation of the bathroom is only a curtain, not separated by glass. The view outside the window is good and feels great."

"The room was tiny and the soundproofing was terrible. In the early hours of the morning on the day we checked in, a very noisy, drunk guest next door kept knocking on our door. Then someone else knocked again later. When we reported this to the front desk the next day, they said it was their staff knocking because they thought the noise was coming from our room and they were trying to tell us to be quiet... It was a really bad experience."

"Convenient location. Friendly people. The room was average but serves a good purpose for just sleeping in before exploring the island. The picture is when you are standing in front of the hotel, back against the reception and looking to the right. Happy days. 🥰"

"The B&B is in a great location, very close to Kinmen University and the Huxia Seawall. Plus, downstairs they even have bread, snacks, and coffee available! That's incredibly thoughtful. My stay was excellent; the bed was big and the bedding very clean. It completely surpasses any hostel I've stayed at in mainland China – truly friendly and comfortable for a solo traveler. My three days in Kinmen were so relaxing. Next time, I'll pick a sunny day to come again! And I'll definitely stay here again; this place is genuinely great!! (˵¯͒〰¯͒˵)"

"The room is huge, and the balcony and bathroom both have sea views. Be sure to close the balcony door at night, as there may be small animals (mosquitoes, lizards). There is parking for motorcycles outside. Breakfast has a fixed menu, and the brown sugar steamed buns are delicious."

"The hotel's service was absolutely amazing! Right from the booking, the owner set up a WeChat group and provided all sorts of thoughtful services. Not only did they recommend attractions, but they also suggested a car rental company. Driver Ouyang from the car company was super nice too. In the evenings, even after the driver had finished his shift, the hotel arranged for a car to pick us up from outside and bring us back. The restaurant offered a complimentary drinks fridge, and shopping in the lobby was self-service, emphasizing trust and friendliness. So, for those who don't go to bed early, you don't have to worry about going hungry in the middle of the night. Breakfast in the morning was also fantastic. Because we had a last-minute change of plans and couldn't eat at the hotel, the owner packed it up for us to take away. They even helped us pick up our pre-ordered Jingcai buns. Due to changes in the weather, we were promptly informed about the ferry schedule at the port. This trip to Kinmen, a lot of the positive emotional value came from this guesthouse. We'll definitely choose this place again next time we visit Kinmen!"

"Located in the Zhushan settlement, I highly recommend getting up early and taking a walk to experience the beauty of Zhushan. The staff were very easy to communicate with! The service was excellent! I checked in quite late (around 11 PM), and they had a very convenient self-check-in system. Although I accidentally had my room password changed during my check-in and couldn't log in 🤣, communication was prompt, and it didn't cause any significant delays. However, if you're staying in a two-story room, the stairs are a bit steep!"

"What I liked: the location is very convenient if you’re coming to Kinmen from Xiamen. The homestay is walking distance from Shuitou Port (about 15 minutes). The owner is a very friendly and helpful person. He helped me rent an electric motorcycle and responded very fast to all of my text messages. The homestay is clean (the cleaning lady is very kind, too! ^^). There’s a lot of storage space as well as lockers. The shampoo and body wash in the bathroom were also really nice. What could be improved: the bunk beds consists of a wooden plank and bedding, so it was quite hard and a bit uncomfortable. However, I still managed to sleep well and there’s enough privacy. There are no locks in the homestay. Basically anyone from outside can access the public areas and the room with the bunk beds, which can be scary for some solo travelers. However, the homestay has security cameras and Kinmen is very safe in general, so I was never really worried. The door of the room is quite heavy and makes a lot of noise, so this is something to be mindful of when it’s late and you’re sharing the room with other guests. All in all, I had a great experience and would stay here again. I’m really happy to have had the opportunity to stay at a traditional house for such an affordable price."
