We had such a wonderful time staying at this hotel! From the moment we arrived, it felt like the perfect escape â a chance to simply rest, recharge, and soak in the beautiful scenery all around us. One of the highlights was definitely the boat ride arranged by the property; it was such a delightful adventure that made us feel connected to nature and the calm waters. The food from the nearby restaurant was another treat â every bite was delicious and added to the cozy, homey vibe of our stay. We also loved that cooking wares were readily available, making it easy to prepare our own meals whenever we wanted, which added a fun, family-style touch to the experience.Overall, it was a stay filled with laughter, relaxation, and little adventures that made everything extra special. We left with happy hearts and wonderful memories, and weâre already excited to come back again soon to relive the joy!

Good -Met owners of BnB, Ice cream, bar and dining available on site (Italian / local food), good breakfast included. Air-conditioned room, phone and satellite tv (requires load by site). On site generator to support power blackouts. Nice garden like feel, gated and fenced. On site parking (minimal). Christmas lights set up for the season. New three-story expansion currently being built (but no impact to stay). Stocked in room mini bar. Shower water flow good. Nice on site pool (3-4 ft deep). Nice ocean views, Koi pond and sitting areas. Dogs and cats (3 ea) live on site.
Bad -Food order ~3 hr in advance, prices are a bit higher than normal, breakfast night before. Some items on menu not available. Room is very small mostly bed and small area to walk around. Bathroom local size challenge for larger people (toilet to wall space). Plumbing not support flushing of TP, place in holding bin. Shower heater wall switch should be labeled. Switch is in same stack of switches as bath lights. Refrigerator and mini bar stocked. (bug spray recommended for foreigners as mosquitoes can get in the room). Located on main roadway. A short drive to other things in the area. No beach (small gravel area), surf can be strong at back of property. Kayaks appeared usable but life jackets were questionable (suggest replacing) unless experienced seemed more like yard art. Amenity kit provided (bar soap was crumbled and could not be used, shampoo was barely enough for one shower (suggest abandon and provide home made or none at all).
Ugly -Local purified drinking water provided in plastic pitcher (not enough for two people per/day and no way to know where from), can ask for more but not convenient. Spouse incurred sickness from bad (other) water during stay.

As for the location, it was perfect â conveniently situated close to local attractions, shopping, and transport, making it easy to explore the area. The reception was good. It was a smooth transaction when I arrived. The room was hot when I got into it. I found that the staff wasnât trained properly & seems like I have to ask for every thing. I was there for 4 days & they never replenished my water bottle. The bed was a bit hard but comfortable enough. The breakfast was ok.
I was very disappointed when I had to ask numerous times for my change when I booked a boat through them to go to hundred islands. I paid 500 pesos for convenience fee for them to organise the trip & evrytime I asked for my change back they keep telling me that they have to ask the boatman first, then the guard, then the department of tourism and various excuses. I didnât get a direct answer until the next day. I trusted them to do the transaction smoothly thatâs the reason I paid for the convenience fee. I wouldâve done the job myself & preferred to give the boatman the 500 pesos as he really looked after me for the whole day. The hotel is Brand new but needs some more decor in the room & have an air conditioning working in the lift & the foyer. The restaurant staff wasnât as friendly but accomodating. They seems all so uptight & doesnât practice common sense. The most disappointing part of my stay is the designated smoking area. It was in the motorcycle parking lot & way out, outside of the hotel. I didnât feel safe going out for a smoke as itâs also a bit dark & thereâs rubbish everywhere. The ashtray was full of other rubbish & the garbage bin was full for all the time I was there. Iâm writing this all as a productive criticism for an improvement for my next stay & for other guests that will be staying in the future. Otherwise the hotel is nice, great pool overlooking the hundred islands the gym was ok . The hotel transfer was also nice but I have to asked first. I hope itâll be better next time I stay. Thank you so much! đ

Guest UserIf you ate looking for a budget hotel, I highly recommend Novo hotel. The room is big and the bed size is big, linens are clean. Staff are nice and accomodationg except that we had a little problem with the supervisor who I think is not yet trained to handle minor adjustment. The location is good since everything is accessible, although the front is not nice and parking is very limited. But overall, we had a nice stay.

I chose this property because it is near to our relatives home, besides it is a simple place to stay not luxury but just good enough for our family, this property needs some renovation and must consider the number of guests in each apartment regarding the kitchen tools and towels..etc
I found it strange there are no bowls in the kitchen we couldnât make soups because there are no bowls to use
The toilet soap quality is very bad it has no fragrance scent like other competitors accommodation properties elsewhere

I recently stayed at Spotlight Hotel in Alaminos, Philippines, and while there were some positive aspects, I feel there is room for improvement.
The staff and receptionist were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which was the highlight of our stay. They went out of their way to assist us with our luggage and provided helpful services throughout our visit, which we greatly appreciated.
However, the cleanliness of the bathroom was disappointing. There were noticeable molds on the walls, and the drainage emitted an unpleasant smell, which impacted our comfort. Additionally, the lack of an elevator made it challenging to move around, especially with heavy luggage.
I also found the lost key policy to be a bit strict. We were charged 500 pesos (around $8.58), which felt a bit excessive for the situation.
While I appreciate the efforts of the staff, addressing these concerns would significantly enhance the experience for future guests.
