The Flambeau Hideaway, located 20 minutes outside of Mercer, WI, is our 3 bedroom, 2 bath cabin that sits on the shores of Lake Bastine, one of the original lake basins located on the west-central portion of Turtle Flambeau Flowage. The Flowage consists of over 14,000 acres & over 90% of the surrounding land is state owned & undeveloped; which gives off that true wilderness feel. So many outdoor activities! That’s the beauty of the Northwoods - snowmobiling, skiing, fishing, hiking LIST GOES ON!Species of fish on the Flowage include: walleye, musky, largemouth and smallmouth bass, perch, panfish, northern pike and sturgeon. Watch walleyes spawning and enjoy opening fishing season for walleye, northern pike, largemouth bass. Musky season opens at the end of May. Summer: Boating, fishing, swimming, wildlife, outdoor bonfires Fall: Enjoy all the leaves changing colors in your car, on your ATV, or bike. We have great late season fishing. The town of Mercer is 15 miles away and Manitowish Waters is about a 35 minute drive from the cabin. There are many super club options in both of these towns.
