"While leading a team of humanitarian volunteers, we had a terrifying experience: a hotel guard brought an intoxicated woman to our cabin at 6 AM. The hotel admitted some guests “request these girls” but brushed off our complaint. No contact from the GM, just a $40 discount. We do not feel safe recommending this hotel to anyone. This is a serious breach of guest safety."

"I made a reservation and got a confirmation number, but when I wrote to them to note that I would be coming in late, they said that they had cancelled the reservation because others had come in, and if I wanted to ask questions I should deal with the website that I booked the reservation on. This was after receiving a confirmation number for the reservation. If I hadn't emailed them out of courtesy, I would never have known my reservation was cancelled. I found another hotel and will never stay there, because I can't know if my reservation will be honored."

"Breakfast was well organized and tasty, friendly staff, room had everything you need, only not entirely practically laid out, meaning some things were not fully or not at all usable, an extra section of the hotel was still being built during our stay, well secured, beautiful view, a perfect location for us, because we were very close to the reason we were in Uganda,"

"All staff are attentive and welcoming. The rooms include a cute front patio with cozy chairs. The entire place is immaculate. The restaurant is delicious with a wide variety to choose from. There are tables or comfortable conversation and meeting areas."

"Shambles is quite possibly an understatement to describe the experience. There are significant issues that should be raised before this questionable hotel should be allowed to receive guests. So let’s review the issues that quantify this place being a shambles: 1- Rooms were not ready (we arrived at 1500hrs ish). 2- Rooms were unclean and appeared to have plenty of temp fixes to them: a. windows not fitting correctly in place leaving large gaps between the walls and window frame. b. towels at the bottom of wood rotted doors. c. bed sheets still dirty and stained d. towels stained and dirty brown e. bugs in the bed sheets 3- Snacks or food menu; food was ordered but the food we got was not that of what was advertised on the menu and lacked items from the menu on the plate such as the main ingredient (instead alternative was given with still no full compliment of what was on the actual menu. a. Would not reduce the cost of the item either. 4- trip was arranged to go on a boat trip from reception staff and the trip was to that of somewhere else that was requested by group lead. 5- kettle in the room ✅ cup ✅ teaspoon ✅ sugar ✅ tea or coffee ❌ milk ❌ 6- used flip flops in the bathroom for us to use, no thank you that is unclean yet again. 7- one poor sole in the group had a bed shower with a downpour from the ceiling and the mourning rain storm. This hotel needs a full lesson on all aspects of hospitality and the needs and requirements of guests and expectations of it were to survive."

"The hotel is clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. Also the food are good. Incase that anyone need to avoid the insects and Reptiles inside the room will be a good choice in Jinja. Also its in the main street of jinja which ia near to almost everything needed include gifts,banks..etc."

"Love this place! I have been twice. in 2022, and 2025. We love the staff, Sylvester is the most humble host, and everyone cares so much about your happiness. The owner, Mr. Tilly is a very kind man.THE KITCHEN IS IMMACULATE!! I have worked in it, and I am from America...our kitchens are FAR more to worry about as I have worked in them as well. I am from Florida. If you are going here thinking that it will be like American hotels, why are you leaving America? This is Africa, and more specifically Uganda! They have their own culture, and ways of doing things. So, as an American let me tell you this, in all of Uganda, at restaurants that is, they cook everything to order. It is not Fast Food, It is amazing food! and you will wait for it. I suggest ordering dinner at breakfast time and setting up your dinner time. You will be more happy that way if you do not like waiting. This Mazungu has learned how to be patient, thanks to Ugandans! I go back this summer!!"

"The hotel does not have a computer at the reception desk, so your paid reservation is not visible, which creates a lot of hassle when checking in. Otherwise, the hotel is great."
