Esperos Palace Resort

Esperos Palace Resort

📍 Esperos Palace Hotel, Kallithea Avenue, Kallithea
★★★★ 9.0 (76 reviews)

"The location was amazing and all the services were perfect, the pool never felt like it was busy which is amazing as the last thing you want is a pool with reserved sunbeds but never seemed to have that problem, the pool side service was also a massive bonus and very quick service. only downsides were the air conditioning was not that cold and sometimes felt pointless having it on, also Everytime we had a shower it would basically flood the bathroom, one member of staff on our first day at breakfast was really quite rude as well after standing up trying to find the coffee(not realising there was some next to me) she got quite close and even stood on my foot(no apology) and quite angrily told me to sit back down and there was some next to me, but this was completely a one off as the rest of the staff were very welcoming. Overall would come back again but maybe need a few updates."

"Terrible experience, dilapidated structure, insistent cleaning, terrible owner, he refused us a small shower gel, ordering us to go to the supermarket to buy it after I paid 90 euros a night and then we found the door wide open with the keys in the staff lock. In a week we were only allowed to clean once, so to speak😅 never again."

"⭐⭐⭐⭐ Lovely boutique-style stay in a great location We stayed at Stavris Studios for 3 nights and really enjoyed our stay. It has a nice boutique feel and Panos the manager was extremely helpful, giving us great advice with directions, places to visit and restaurant recommendations. The rooms are quite basic, but they had everything we needed and were perfectly fine for a short stay. The pool area was lovely and a great place to relax. Although the hotel is close to the road, the outside noise really wasn’t much of a problem for us. The location was very convenient — close to Faliraki town and only a short bus ride into Rhodes, making it easy to explore. Overall a very enjoyable stay, good value and we would happily recommend it."

"We stayed in July, we had a room with private pool and garden . It was lovely modern . Great shower. Bed lovely big and comfortable. We had black out blinds so very good. Breakfast was great a lovely choice. The family run studios is so well kept the cleaner was fab came every day and we always had fresh towels. The family are lovely and very helpful arranged taxi journeys for us to a bay and helped me arrange a horse riding trip. I found location very good as it was a 10 minute walk into town. Food also good for a bite for lunch etc. I would definitely return, lovely relaxed resort."

"Absolutely amazing hotel. All staff are so friendly and helpful! Beautiful facilities and really great selection of food including the Al a carte restaurants. The entertainment each night was so great to watch. The 40 bus to either faliraki or the old town is just outside on the main road and is only €2.50 per person. They also come every 20 minutes and run till late. I also enjoyed an incredible facial and massage at the spa with my massage therapist Lena. We talked about anything and everything and she put 100% effort into my treatment. She made me feel so at ease and relaxed and was always checking in with me to see how I was feeling throughout. Afterwards, she spoke through which products were used during the treatment and which ones she would recommend for my skin. My experience with her was amazing! Thank you Lena! The spa also offered welcome offers/discounts which made the treatments so affordable. I have really enjoyed staying at this hotel and will recommend to others!"

"We loved this hotel, especially because of the delicious food. We'll admit, before Covid, everything was even better. But it's still great. The beach is nice and sandy, but the sea itself has small pebbles. The sea is also very nice – clean and deepens quickly, making it very easy to get in. We didn't like that there were no robes in the room. We called and tried to book one, but they said something about charging 50 euros for a robe. Are you serious? At a 5-star hotel, you have to ask for a robe and pay 50 euros. Maybe we misunderstood and they asked us for a deposit. But that's also stupid. If that were the case, they would have told us when we checked in. They also asked for a credit card when we checked in, so maybe if you steal something, you won't be able to pay. They didn't have a credit card, so they gave us a debit card. Anyway, it leaves a bad taste in our mouths; it could have been avoided – there are sanctions, after all. Anyway, now it's unclear whether we'll come here again."

Anika Studios Hotels in Kallithea

Anika Studios

"We were genuinely disappointed with our recent stay at Anika Studios, especially after reading so many positive reviews beforehand. From the moment we arrived, the reception staff were not particularly welcoming, and although we were aware of the additional charges (€10 per night for air conditioning and the tourist tax), there was little effort made to make us feel comfortable or valued as guests. We were allocated room 307, located up two flights of stairs. There is no lift so bare this in mind if you have issues with stairs. At first glance, the room appeared basic but acceptable, which we expected from a two-star accommodation. However, the cleanliness left much to be desired. We were told the room would be cleaned every two days, but aside from a change of towels and sheets, no actual cleaning took place. The floor was never swept or mopped during our 7-day stay, and a dead wasp in the corner remained untouched the entire time. By the end of the week, the floor was visibly dirty. To make matters worse, one set of sheets had bloodstains on them — completely unacceptable. The bathroom was shockingly small, with a poor layout. The shower curtain failed to contain any water, flooding the floor almost immediately. A constant unpleasant smell came from the bathroom drain, making it even more uncomfortable. The air conditioning was sub-par. The directional fans inside the unit were broken, so air couldn’t be directed properly. It did cool the room eventually, but only after being on for 5–10 minutes. You can’t leave it running while out, so every return to the room meant entering a sweltering space. In the kitchenette, the tap only produced cold water, meaning we had to boil the kettle every time we wanted to wash up. On top of that, there was a persistent foul smell from the sink. The pool area was also disappointing. The aesthetic of the pool areas were lovely and really lured you in. However, unless you woke up extremely early, it was nearly impossible to get a sunbed due to guests reserving them with towels and not showing up until the afternoon. Despite having two pools, sunbed availability remained an issue. The adults-only pool had plenty of unused space that could easily accommodate more sunbeds, yet the hotel hasn’t done so. The main pool is shaded for most of the day. Food at the pool bar was tasty, but expensive. After visiting the nearby Telhinis Hotel (which we highly recommend), we found their pool bar offered the same items at much lower prices. For example, a bottle of Mythos at Anika was €5.50, compared to €3 at Telhinis. A club sandwich at Anika was €11.50 versus €5 next door. The pool bar staff were nice, especially Valentino who went out of his way to make us feel welcome. There was also a lack of atmosphere around the hotel. Other guests kept to themselves, and we didn’t experience the friendly, social vibe we’ve found at other small hotels. We feel like this hotel is aesthetically pleasing from the outside looking i"

Esperos Palace Resort ★★★★
"Location- fantastic location on the beach. Bus stop outside the hotel with buses coming every 20mins for Rhodes town (£2.50 single, takes 20-25 mins. ) and Falaraki (5 -10 mins) There is a boat stop on the beach beside hotel where you can get the red ferry to Rhodes (£10 single) which is lovely way to travel into Rhodes town harbour. Also very close for car hire. A couple of minutes walk. Very easy to hire and good selection of cars. Room- we had a beautiful panoramic room on 4th floor. Very spacious, very clean, beautiful bathroom. I would say the actual shower had curtain around which the water spilled out of floor so we ended up using the shower in the very large bath which was a bit tidier for us. No biggie. Good power showers in both shower and bath. Cleaners did fantastic job and very friendly. Sea View over pool and lazy river. Fabulous. Pool area- this was the selling point for us. There are two fantastic pools both right beside the beach so sea views all day! One pool area is busier with water aerobics and music. The other quieter. Pool toilets clean. The quieter pool has a great restaurant for lunches. Just ring the bell at your table for service. Had a lovely halloumi pitta bread and fries for£9. Didn’t tend to eat lunch but good to know it was there if we did or missed breakfast. There is a cafe at the busy pool for drinks and light snacks. Only used for drinks. We never had problem getting sunbed at any time of day. And there is a lazy river. Food- you won’t go hungry. There is something for everyone. breakfast has good selection of breads, fruit and many different flavours of yoghurts with a table of nuts, chia seeds etc different eggs, bacon and different types of foreign type sausages. No Irish sausages though! Lol Dinner- great selection of salads. Always a fish or two, salmon, sea bass, etc and will have beef, pork, chicken, all with tasty sauces. There’s is always pizza, chips, pasta too. My husband and I don’t really eat desserts when away in Spain or Portugal. Just don’t like them. However the Greek desserts are lovely. it was fun tasting all the mini desserts which there is a fabulous selection of. Very tasty and light. Bonus points at breakfast for having a bottle of HP sauce!! ( think I finished it this morning though!)lol When you arrive you will told you can eat in the on site burger bar one night instead of the hotel. We had a great experience and one member of staff stood out. Very friendly and helpful with trip suggestions.. can’t remember his name. Sorry! The burger night, is a set menu but you pick your burger. It’ll be soup, then mixture of shared starters which were all lovely then the tasty burger… then dessert. I would say you should do this for a change however the only improvement would be not to serve the food so quickly. Each course came within minutes of the last course. Activities/ Entertainment - we like doing our own thing and don’t really partake however there are activities and entertai"

"Hotel is very modern renovated. The food served at the buffet is also very good. We had to change the room several times because of some smell (maybe from the cleaning product - we dont know). Some rooms didn‘t have a normal mirror in the bathroom. Also not so good are the included drinks or the quantities of it. Water on the room and two juices in the minibar are just served at the first time. For every other bottle of water you have to ask for at the reception. Begging for water is not my kindest dream of „all inclusive“. The employees at Hotel are very polite. Especially the employees at the restaurant and at the bars are really committed. Also Mister Apostolis was alsways very nice and helpful over the edges of his job. We also booked a massage at the spa - it’s been a very relaxing experience thanks to my therapist Ms. Paraskevi. The sea and the pools so as the pool/sea loungers are at least in october enough and all new."

"A wonderful little gem of a place in Rhodes. The apartments are spotless, the house keeping team do a great job. They apartments are older in style, but the beds are comfy, the pillows and linen do the job. The air con is free and works really well. We had hot water no matter when we took a shower. All the rooms have pool views. The pool area & gardens are so well kept. The family do a great job in keeping it tidy. Note to other guests, WHY do you leave your litter by the pool when there are bins everywhere or take it back to your rooms!! If you’re looking for self catering, run by a Greek family in a great location, then this will tick all your box’s. We used the bus at night to Rhodes Town, 20 mins from outside the apartment. We also hired a car (as most people do who stay here) as exploring Rhodes from here is so simple.. For anyone visiting this year, there is a gorgeous kitten, maybe 3 or 4 months old, she is very friendly, please look out for her, maybe give her some fresh water cat biscuits. If I had been there for longer I would have tried to re home her, as she will make the perfect pet. We loved our stay, and planning on returning in the future."
