Oze Kogen Hotel
"I used it to go to Oze, but it was convenient because there was a pick-up to Hatomachi Pass. The meal was a buffet, but it was delicious. After all, it was very reasonable and good."
Sasanoyu
"Friendly English staff speaking. Good onsen."
Resort In Katashina
"First of all, with the smile of my wife at check-in, I could see that the word of mouth was highly evaluated. I was grateful that I had a BBQ late because I stayed only for 々 that day. I was happy to insert handmade rice balls and pickles. Also, he was very satisfied with the free provision of additional charcoal. I thought it would be a very helpful response as the same hospitality business. Next time, we plan to use it with a large number of people. Thank you very much."
Hirando Ryokan
"Although it states that meals are not included, both dinner and breakfast are provided. This is a picture of the dinner, which was very generous. The host was also very friendly. The location was right next to the bus station, making it very convenient to board the bus the next morning. However, there are no amenities nearby, so it's recommended to prepare food for the hike and check in at a convenient time."
Mizubasho No Yado Higashi
"This lodging exceeded my expectations. The entire building seems to have been carefully designed and thought out. It's thoroughly organized and clean, and even simple tools like a single flower or leaf convey a certain charm. There are quite a few stink bugs, but they take care of them by putting medicine on the windows, and if you call they'll take care of it, so even people who can't stand bugs should be fine. It's not expensive, so it's good value for money. It's close to Oze, making it a convenient place to stay at the end of a walking tour of Oze. However, be aware that nearby restaurants are far away and close early."
Hotel Tamakiya' Oze-Tokura Hot Spring
"I used this place because I was going to Oze in the morning. The food was delicious and made with local ingredients, and although it was filling, it was easy to digest. The staff were very friendly and I had a very comfortable stay. I was also happy that I could have coffee. I get cold easily, so I was very grateful that there was a gas heater in the room. It was empty, so I was able to take my time in the hot spring. It's nice that they can store your car while you're in Oze."
Kankoso
"I found this inn while sightseeing at the lake and thought it was a luxury hotel. Perhaps because it was after the Obon holiday, the price was reasonable. They upgraded me from a room with a shared bathroom to a nice room. Check-in was at 1:00 PM. It was a 35-degree day, but as I approached Marunuma Kogen, the temperature dropped to 25 degrees. The inn is located at an altitude of 1,430 meters. There was no air conditioning in the room, but the breeze from the window made it comfortable (there was a fan in the room). My clean room was 8 tatami mats in size and had no veranda or chair. The futons were set up inside the room so they were easy to lay out. The sink and toilet were spacious, and lotions and other amenities were provided for both men and women. My room had no view of the lake, but the sun was nice, so it was nice. The large public bath does not have an open-air bath; men and women alternate between them. The rainbow trough bath in the large public bath has a very high ceiling and huge triangular windows on both sides that offer a garden of greenery and trees. There was a huge rainbow trout monument in the center of the bath, and the hot spring water flowed freely. What surprised me was the two large aquariums in the bathroom, from which you could see the rainbow trout swimming. There were also about 12 washing stations. The sinks had lotions and other amenities. The next morning, I went to the smaller bath, which was impressive. Perhaps because I arrived early in the morning, the water temperature had dropped (below 39 degrees), making the warm water relaxing. For dinner, I had the "Cool Breeze Menu" at the restaurant. It was delicious, including trout and konjac sashimi, whole grilled sweetfish, and chicken teppanyaki. I was able to finish everything, including the rice and dessert. A 300cc bottle of local sake (from Numata City) cost about 1,000 yen. Breakfast included whole simmered rock trout in soy sauce, a large grilled fish, and "Yasuda Yogurt Drink," a popular item at Kawaba Roadside Station. It was a wonderful stay, helping me forget the sweltering summer heat. It was a summer getaway, and I hope to come back next summer and stay multiple nights."
Marui Ryokan
"Nothing in particular to complain about; the service was good. The facilities are a bit old, though?"
Pension Arma
"The location is a bit far, but the owner is okay. The hot spring pool is small, the rooms are basic, and the breakfast and dinner are average. It's okay, though."
