We were attending a wedding in the area and this was the recommended hotel. This hotel needs updating. The carpets are worn and rooms are tired looking. Common areas were unkempt. Garbage was overflowing. We let the front desk know and they only took out the overflow and left most of the garbage in there!!! The outdoor cigarette butt can looked like it hasn't been emptied in months! Positives: comfy bed and pillows, fridge and coffee maker in room, breakfast was good.

Decided to book this hotel based on the reviews and the proximity of the area we were exploring. Overall the hotel experience was good, there’s were 2 misses. We are staying in room 323 on the backside of the hotel facing the highway and it’s very noisy, especially at night when you’re trying to sleep. The cars are probably driving by at least 60 miles an hour. If you decide to stay here try to get a room on the opposite side. The other miss was that the hot tub was not working. We did a lot of walking over 2 days at Longwood Gardens and were looking forward to relaxing in the hot tub for a few minutes but when we came in that evening and asked about the hot tub we were told that it wasn’t working. Our stay included breakfast which consisted of premade breakfast sandwiches, muffins, bagels oatmeal, oatmeal, fruit, yogurt, etc. on our last day they had scrambled eggs and bacon. If you want your room cleaned you have to notify the front desk and they will freshen it, otherwise the cleaning staff doesn’t come in. The hotel is right down the road from Longwood Gardens and the Brandywine Valley museum as well as several other attractions in the area. there are several stores in the area including Walmart, TJ Maxx, Wegman’s and Giant and several antique shops just up the road. There are also several restaurants nearby. Also very close to the downtown of Kennett Square. We would probably stay here again if we come back to this area.
