Hotel City Inn Ltd.
"Food options are decent and the hotel is in a convenient location in the central part of Khulna. Did not use the pool but took a look and it was empty and available for use. Staff are friendly."
Hotel Castle Salam
"Castle Salam is one of the top hotels in Khulna, offering a newly renovated section that stands out for its quality. The rooms feature large, comfortable beds, although they lack windows or views, and the corridors could benefit from better lighting. The food and dining experience are exceptional, with delicious options like chuijhal mutton, fresh fish, and shrimp. The rooftop dining is a highlight, providing a great ambiance, though the service there can be a bit slow. Overall, considering the available options in Khulna, Castle Salam remains my top choice."
Jatra Flagship Khulna City Center
"I did not stayed in this hotel but Hotel authority claimed full portion of bill."
The Grand Placid
"Checking in at the hotel wasn't the best. Everyone had already been given rooms, but my friend and I weren't. Because we had booked a room in advance, the reception desk decided to give us a suite as compensation for the delay. It took a few minutes, but the compensation exceeded our expectations. We had two large, fully equipped bedrooms. There was also a kettle with water, tea, and coffee. The spacious bathroom had a separate, large shower and even a whirlpool bathtub. There was also a full range of toiletries. Dinner awaited us in the restaurant, but unfortunately, it was again European-style. It was tasty and well-presented, but lacked originality. However, everyone was satisfied with the breakfasts we ate there twice. There was a self-service buffet with a wide selection. There were "European" dishes, as well as spicy and authentic Bengali ones. The service on the floors and in the restaurant was excellent and very fast. Everything was very clean, so we had a comfortable stay both nights."
Tiger Garden Int Hotel
"Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. The bath towels were old and worn out, the air conditioning was not functioning properly, and the restaurant cleanliness was below standard. As a 3-star hotel, I expected better maintenance and overall service quality. I hope the management will address these issues and improve the guest experience."
City Inn Limited Khulna
"The infrastructure and facilities of this hotel are good, but the main problem is staff training, professionalism, and consistency of service. At check-in, I clearly requested a quiet room. The receptionist confidently told me that the room assigned to me was very quiet and that I would not hear street noise. However, the room was facing the main street and was noisy. When I went back to the front desk, they changed my room to a quieter one. I appreciated the change, but I was surprised that the first room had been described so confidently as quiet. Either the staff did not know the room well, or they gave misleading information. Neither is professional. There was also a problem with the room door. My key card was not working properly, so I went to the front desk for help. The staff member behaved dismissively, almost as if I did not know how to open a hotel door. He came upstairs with a smirking attitude. In the end, it seemed there was indeed some issue with the door or handle. A professional response would have been to check the door politely instead of making the guest feel foolish. Cleanliness was another issue. On the first morning, I woke up sneezing badly. Although the room looked clean on the surface, I later found a large amount of dust under and behind the furniture, including around the refrigerator and drawers. These areas clearly had not been cleaned properly for some time. After I complained, it took around 45 minutes for someone to come and clean it, even though it was during the daytime. The coffee lounge service was also disappointing. On my first evening, around 7:30 or 8:00 p.m., I went there for a cappuccino, but no staff member was present. I waited for about 7–10 minutes before someone from reception came and asked what I wanted. After I ordered coffee, he disappeared, and another person came later. Eventually, I was told that the coffee staff member had gone to the washroom. By the time the person responsible for making coffee finally appeared, about 25 minutes had passed. This was not early morning or late night; it was normal evening service time. I left without having coffee. Breakfast service also showed a lack of basic hospitality training. For three consecutive mornings, the person making omelettes barely communicated with guests. He did not make eye contact, greet guests, or ask what kind of omelette they wanted. Guests had to place their order while he remained almost completely silent. He may be a nice person, but in the service industry, basic politeness and professionalism matter. Overall, this hotel has good facilities, but the guest experience falls short because of poor staff training, uneven service, slow response, and unprofessional behavior. Management should focus not only on the building and amenities, but also on how guests are treated."
