Aphrodite Hills Hotel

"We have just returned from a week at the Aphrodite hills to attend a family wedding. The hotel itself is georgeous. Very grand. Reception has a small gift shop and there is a lovely bar and outside terrace. The room we opted for a junior suite was fab and the bathroom the largest I have ever had in a hotel. Towel change brilliant as changed twice a day. There is a main buffet restaurant and adults can opt to eat in the fig and olive by taking your food into there. I thought the buffet had plenty of choice however I am not a massive buffet fan. On all inclusive you can opt to eat in three of the à la carte restaurants bookable either on the Aphrodite hills app or on a machine in reception or at the reception. The stone grill was closed but we ate at the Nissan an oriental restaurant which was incredible, the fig and olive and the Mexican. The food was absolutely fabulous. There are three main pools. An adult pool. Sunbeds can get busy. A main pool which is also busy and then another kids pool which is behind the entertainment marquee which was always quiet. A short stroll gets you to the village with about 5 restaurants bars and a few shops chemist etc. we ate at the Indian and anoi pub and paid for these as we are not a fan of the all inclusive buffets and the food was amazing. The wedding we attended was absolutely incredible. The staff at the hotel are fabulous and Cypriot people in general are just so gorgeous so friendly. . We went into pathos for the day. There is a bus stop outside the hotel but we shared a taxi with another couple as there is also a taxi rank outside the hotel 46 euros each way. And about 25 mins in a taxi or 50 mins on the bus. This drops you at the harbour which has shops and restaurants and then You can get a taxi to the old town if desired. So the hotel is in general excellent. Only negatives were not much around as in the middle of nowhere and there was a tummy bug outbreak so kept on top of hand sanitising. Oh there is also a snack bar around the pool which serves hot dogs chips salad etc. nice for a change but often a bit of a queue so mainly ate at the buffet at lunchtime. Cyprus has cats everywhere. And so does the hotel. We love cats and took some cat biscuits with us to feed them. The hotel has feeding stations as well for the cats. The hotel has buggy transport around the complex and there is an amazing golf complex. So all in all a fab hotel. And if you love all inclusives could not fault it."

"This is our 2nd holiday to Aphrodite Hills. Both occasions we have been lucky enough to secure a villa for our stay. The villas are beautiful and spacious with all the amenities you may need. Bathrooms are clean and modern. Having access to our own private pool (with optional heating available) was a big positive. There are so many wonderful amenities here and they are always updating and refreshing the site. Gym, tennis, padel and a gorgeous golf course make this an ideal spot for an active family. There is a great little supermarket with a bakery and coffee shop available on site. A small pharmacy has come in handy and there is a small emergency medical center on site too. David at the concierge desk is an absolute star! Whilst there have been no complaints he is happy to check in and make sure everything is up to the high standard that they maintain across the site. Anytime we come to Cyprus we hire a car so that we can get out and about, there are car hire facilities on site if this is something you have overlooked whilst planning your holiday. Location wise it is in a great spot, just 20 minutes drive to Paphos harbor. We are always sad to be leaving and start looking at booking our next trip before we leave.
