"Viviane's hospitality is priceless, and from the moment you step into the unique, light, and relaxing atmosphere, immersed in the lush greenery and enhanced by the pool overlooking the breathtaking Cretan sea. Who can forget Spiros's pampering by the pool and Viviane's hearty breakfasts featuring local produce? If we ever return to Crete, this will be our favorite escape from the city. As for the apartments, ours was the second on the ground floor with a beautiful sea view; the peace and quiet instantly makes you feel at home. See you soon!!!"

"Honestly one of the best resorts I’ve stayed at, could easily rival the likes of Sani & Ikos for pure beauty and scenic views. We couldn’t get enough of the spectacular sunset which is the jewel in the crown of this hotel. We literally couldn’t fault it and had the most amazing family holiday. You really need a car to enjoy the amazing local scenery and food that the surrounding villages and towns have to offer. Rethymon is only a short distance away and is definitely worth a visit. Pros - Swim up is definitely worth the extra $$ if you can afford it, kids loved it and was a nice break from the pool and beach. Plus the views from the room are amazing! - Breakfast buffet is the best I’ve experienced, it even beats the food options on many cruises I’ve been on. - Overall the food is excellent plus the local wine is an absolute must. We had the best evening at the Pool Club restaurant where the 3 course menu was truly amazing! - Kids are very well catered for, the kids club was always attended and never busy but with a good range of activities. The best bit was the hotel supply kids floats and lilos in the kids pool which if you have forgotten to pack is an absolute life saver (we actually went and brought one from a local supermarket before we released this!) - Rooms are spacious and the grounds are well maintained. They are still building and expanding the resort but this never interfered with our stay. - Lots of parking space so renting a car is not a problem. We also found parking in most towns/ surrounding villages was easy during May. - The beach is huge and stretches for miles, I would definitely recommend going a walk in the evening and enjoy the sunset and many beach bars. - The app is very good and is a great was to communicate with staff - The spa, while we didn’t visit is very luxurious and has a massive indoor pool with loungers and sofas which can be a nice rest from the midday sun. Improvements - The fridge in the room doesn’t get very cool, if you are trying to chill beer/ wine you may need to ask for an ice bucket. - Room service menu could have more options, especially things for kids and offer more snack options (we had difficulty just ordering fries for example) - Room service can also be quite slow As I mentioned, the absolute best part about the hotel is its stunning location with one of the best sunsets I’ve ever seen. We had the most perfect evenings sat on our balcony or on the terrace at the lobby bar. I honestly couldn’t fault this hotel, we are already planning our next visit."

"Very comfortable suite in a heritage building and historical village. The room is extremely well appointed with kitchen facilities and separate bathroom. Close to shops, cafes and taverna. "Relaxing , clean, Great air con which is needed in August! We spent 4 days and we occupied 3 rooms.. and included a 2 year old! The team could not do enough and the rooms were equipped with everything you need when on holiday. Location gives you privacy and escapism .. but only 5 min drive away to near by villages or short drives , taxi or bus…. I recommend a taxi.- to Rethymno or Chania of Giorgioupoli.. we will come back, thank you for everything. "

"This is the second time we have been to Aneria. It is a beautiful, peaceful place located on a hill with magnificent views of the entire bay. Away from the crowds. Very nice pool with comfortable sun loungers and beautifully maintained gardens with flowers and a magnificent lawn. The apartments, with balconies or terraces facing the sea, are spacious, clean, well decorated and lack nothing. Below the hotel there is a beautiful, long sandy beach with several tavernas equipped with sun loungers and umbrellas. It can be reached in a few minutes on foot by taking the path that crosses the garden, or by car. Vivienne welcomes you warmly with a smile every morning at breakfast which is a treat based on typical, homemade products. Antonis, the owner is very pleasant and offers good advice. Thank you for these beautiful moments!"

"we stayed at this hotel for 11 nights. it was a great experience. the hotel has an indoor pool and is located right next to the sea. the host is exceptional, she helped us with everything we needed, including the beach umbrella and information about renting cars. I had a room with a sea view, it is cleaned daily, the room is spacious and equipped with everything you need, including a small kitchen. the view from the balcony was very beautiful. breakfast is varied and the host supplements all the time, even if you wake up later (10:00 am) you have something to eat. we had a rented car and we managed very easily, but I saw that there are bus stations nearby."
