"If you are looking for true rest & relaxation this place is for you. The hotel is professionally run with great staff, modern rooms, beautiful terraces and a great heated pool. The adjoining towns of Lourmarin and Cucuron are nice to visit and have great restaurants. The hotel rents E Bikes so we were able to enjoy a morning bike ride through the back paths ending up in Lourmarin for a nice lunch and stroll through town. Can’t say enough good things about Domaine de Fontenille. Very highly Recommended!"

"The property is beautiful, tastefully furnished, and offers a magical atmosphere both inside and in the garden, which is a real joy to behold. We loved our stay here, even though the guest service wasn’t up to the same standard. First of all, not all the staff understand or speak English; they only speak French. We were attended to slowly and there were significant delays in responding to our (very simple) requests, partly due to a general lack of organization both during breakfast service in the morning and in the evening before dinner. At a Relais & Châteaux property, one expects impeccable organisation; every member of staff should have an excellent command of foreign languages, and customer service should be consistently and flawlessly maintained – which was not the case."
