The motel has free parking. My check in went quickly. There is a swimming pool. The rooms have outside entries. Free wi-fi is provided. My room had everything I needed. I got a good night's sleep and my requested wake up call. The check out was quick and simple.

Stayed here while in town for the Hollywood ****** 400 at Kansas Speedway. It was a short 15-minute drive to the track, and unlike hotels closer to the track, the prices were not gouged out of this world! We greatly appreciated that. Check-in and check-out were quick and easy with friendly employees. This property cannot be more than a few years old, and everything was clean and looked brand new. Room was quiet, bed was incredibly comfortable, everything was clean, and the coffee and breakfast was always fully stocked. We plan to attend a race at Kansas Speedway next year and will try to stay here again. The location, cleanliness, and amenities were everything we were hoping for.

The desk clerk should have alerted me to what I would experience during my two-day and night stay at this hotel. The clerk possessed a delightful personality, but in another setting, they could have passed as a homeless person... Unprofessional in dress and appearance. The building itself showed signs of wear that could be helped with at least some touch-up paint. The room was for a handicapped person and I have no need for those amenities so it felt like I was in a clinical setting instead of an inviting room for my relaxation. The room temperature was set at 72 but felt like ten degrees colder. I assumed the thermostat had been set just prior to my check-in so it would warm up in a few hours. Getting in bed shortly after arriving, I woke up in the night to discover a room that was cool enough for my arms outside the covers to feel ice cold to the touch. I had to set the thermostat at 80 degrees for the room to feel like 72 degrees. The bed itself was on the stiff side. it was an 8 on a 1-10 scale. Some people like that but my research indicates that most prefer a little softer mattress -- a 6.5. At first the TV worked fine. The second night I left for a dinner engagement so I turned off the TV. Coming back a few hours later, the TV would not turn back on. I called the front desk for suggestions. Nothing helped. I walked to the front desk thinking an in-person visit might help solve the problem. Still no solution. The next morning there was no follow-up to try to get the TV to operate. The workers at this establishment did not seem to care that I was satisfied or not with my stay. The three-star rating for this hotel should be downgraded to one star. I'm not unset. I just will never stay here again.

I inadvertently booked the wrong Super 8 in KC so was a little worried as we all know it can be a crap shoot on budget hotels. Our criteria on a hotel is does it look clean, smell clean, is the water hot does the toilet flush and absolutely no bugs. They had been doing work on this hotel mainly in the bathrooms and our first room had issues with temp control on the bath/shower flow valve. The host graciously switched us to an adjacent room which had no problems. The breakfast the next morning was pretty sparse but things have changed post covid. The room met all of our expectations so 5 stars for a 2 star hotel. It could use some updating and I think they are refinishing the doors. I think it was a good value and bottom I would stay here again

After a grueling ordeal of being transferred between hotels through a Third Party I ended up at the Candlewood suites in Lenexa Kansas . The night front desk was courteous and got me into a room quickly. When the next shift came on i became introduced to Preston, the overnight desk clerk. I had several issues with the third party I had been using for years . Preston was able to explain the choices I had and gave me information to relate to the third party. Preston was correct and was patient with me as I had to check in and out several times . I travel weekly as part of my job and his customer service was above anything I’ve received in years. My husband, myself and our 2 cats were displaced by an apartment fire on April 29th. We stayed here until our new apartment was found and available on June 17th. The entire staff including Ashley, Heather , Claudia and the rest of the team went above and beyond to help us feel at home. There were fresh towels and sheets as needed and there was maid service weekly. Because our 2 cats had to be rescued from the fire, they were skidding and housekeeping was sincerely careful and only came by when we were home to be able to keep them in a safe spot. The kitchenette was well stocked with cookware. Note, there is no oven but there is a 2 burner stove top and microwave, coffee pot and toaster. The laundry is on the first floor as is the excersize room with a bike and treadmill. We never felt insecure. It was a well taken care of property with a trash can on premise. Parking was fairly plentiful and it was convenient to have a QT across the street and grocery stores just up Lackman. It was actually a bit bittersweet to leave. I'll always be grateful to them as they gave us a sence of normalcy that we needed. With a deep gratitude, thank you
