"At the end of July, we stayed in a newly refurbished premium lodge for 6 on the main lake by the bridge, this was great as was a 5/10 min walk from the main centre to the lodge with a beautiful view and close to the beach on the edge of the lake The lodge was well equipped, with bed linen, a good kitchen, clothes airer and a broom to sweep up during your stay. Outside we had a large table with chairs , parasol, and 2 sun loungers. (There is no air-conditioning, so bring a fan with you as the lodge did get quite warm) This was our first trip to Centre Parcs outside of the UK and it didn't disappoint. It's set out very much like Elveden Forest. The swimming pool has the normal rapids, a few slides, waves, lazy river, and baby/toddler area. We had pre booked some activities before we arrived. The laser battle inside Discovery Bay was so much fun, the teenagers and adults in our group loved it! We also enjoyed the escape room (pricey, but so are the ones in the UK) The AquaPark, Archery, Farm, and Paddleboarding were also good. The only activity we did, that disappointed us was the Wild Water Rapids (for children up to 16yrs) we thought this suited younger children no older than 11 or 12yrs. Our 13 and 16 year olds found it slow and boring. The Alpca walk was cancelled due to thunderstorms but we had a refund onto the wristbands to spend during our stay. All other activities went ahead even in the rain which was good as I had read mixed reviews on this. If you have allergies or food intolerances make sure you pack plenty of food as the restaurants don't cater well for this. The shop onsite does sell a small range of Gluten Free staples. It was easy enough to drive on and off site to nip out to local supermarket or to do a day trip into Holland or Belgium. I would definitely return to De Vossemeren."
