"Very quiet hotel. Despite the magnificent building, all the staff are very close to the guests and care about their happiness. This time I stayed in a superior room with large windows. The area and direct light of the toilet are all you like. The restaurant offers a balanced buffet, exquisite breakfast and everything you want. Restaurant service and decent breakfast. The reception staff have excellent professionalism and a very friendly attitude. I recommend"
"Worth a try, a real palace hotel, a display of stone and wood carving art, with elaborate and luxurious furnishings. The garden is a French regular pattern, carefully maintained. The area of the suite is much larger than the marked area. The butler service is in place. The dinner food is sufficient, the only drawback is that the cod is salty, and the shrimp rice is also salty, and I didn't finish the two dishes"
"A bit disappointed... booked a romantic weekend online. I booked a double bed room, we have a room for 3 people, an extra bed, these are the rooms booked on Trip.com according to the reception. The site does provide rooms for 3 people, but this is not reserved. The loss of space is large and the TV is small. As mentioned in the description we have not heard, there are no leisure facilities available, and no one is using the bar or restaurant. However, the reception provides manuals (this is a small reduction for partners). The parking lot is not practical until 10pm. The breakfast buffet is basic, but not always high quality (pseudo orange juice...).
Ants are also local residents. We saw them on the breakfast table and in our room!
In short a beautiful disappointment...I do not recommend a romantic weekend...
However, this building is superb."
"A grand hotel in the old style. It was undergoing significant renovation while I stayed, so they're clearly making an effort to remain competitive. Staff was courteous and helpful. The dinner in the restaurant was tasty and filling at a good price. All in all an excellent value. My only complaint is the strong musty odor in my room. Fortunately the weather was good so I could open the windows wide, but the hotel really needs to eliminate the source of the smell.
I didn't know before visiting Luso that it's famous for the quality of its water. The photo show the spouts in the center of town where locals come to fill their containers."
