"First time to visit a resort and beach in Batangas, and I must say that Altamare exceeded my expectations. I love the activities you can do, though it is limited, but still worth it. The vibe of being so peaceful and calm, since it is away from the noise, is the best thing of this resort. The services and foods are very good. You just need to be prepared of the stairs, it is very challenging! Overall it was really really good experience."

"Three friends and I stayed here during a trip to the Philippines. From Manila Airport, we first traveled to the bus terminal in Manila city, then took a two-hour bus ride from Manila to Batangas, and then a one-hour taxi ride from there. If possible, I think it would be easier to charter a car from Manila. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. We had a great time relaxing by the pool and trying our hand at diving. There's nothing around the hotel, so we had to eat at the hotel restaurant, but the food was of very high quality and delicious. They also had a few Japanese dishes, such as tonkatsu, which was nice. Overall, the prices were high for a resort hotel, but it was a great experience worth the price."

"This was an amazing trip! I haven't had a chance to write a review but here it goes. 1. The staff - Super amazing and friendly, always smiling and helpful. 2. The managers - great, caring, funny and always went above and beyond to help and accommodate. 3. Resort - Amazing ocean view and lots of activities, we went back 3 times in a span of 2 weeks. Lol 4. Room - clean and comfortable! 5. Food and drinks - delicious and amazing! One of the best in the Philippines. I've been to many hotels and resorts worldwide, but this has been the top of all of my stays. The vibe, the friendliness, activities, food and drinks. I've never felt so relaxed and I didn't even need to use my phone. No stress and all good vibes! Waking up to see the ocean with a nice cup of coffee with smooth music, it makes the hours of drive (almost 4 hours one way) to there well worth it. In my opinion, this was more than a stay, this was an unforgettable experience! We have been through the regular days and also the typhoon days, they have been amazing and helpful the whole time! It was definitely an adventure! Now I'm back in Florida again and I miss this place, but I'm planning a visit the Philippines next year and I will make this my top place to visit!"

"Great spot but restaurant need big improvement. Tried dinner and breakfast there was very expensive and food quality very poor didn't enjoy anything from the restaurant. Island tours and boat hire for a day very expensive P8,500.00 for six person. I had to run out to the locals to book a raft to for island hopping for half the price. Pools closes at 9pm at night. No smoking in the resort you will be fined on the spot. Traveled all the way from Manila and arrived at the resort by 1pm and had to wait till 2pm just to check in my room. Wasn't quiet happy with the long wait."

"The hotel's excellent environment and design are truly eye-catching. The ocean view hotel is right above the sea, perfect for diving. The hotel management is very professional, the service is good, and the food is also quite good at a reasonable price!"

"The most famous spot here is the Anilao diving area, considered a ”macro paradise” by divers worldwide—not for grandeur, but for detail; quiet, yet captivating. Even if you don't dive, it's a great place to sit by the sea and watch the clouds, waves, and the slowly shifting light. Disadvantages: The hotel room Wi-Fi was broken and not properly fixed. There are mosquitoes, so bring mosquito repellent. The food is on the pricier side, probably to match the beautiful scenery."

"The hotel is very comfortable and it is very comfortable. The hotel was very clean and we particularly appreciated the free diving activity we reserved at the hostel (the activity is made a few steps from the accommodation and thanks to the coach mac we loved !). As every youth hostel sleep comfort depends on the noise that others make and here the little concern are the children of owners who have not hurt noise very early every morning (en regarding for example videos the sound a fondo while we sleep on the other side of the separation). We have discussed with other travelers who had the same concern, it may be a cultural issue but in all cases it has not prevented us from spending a super stay! Last point: Do not hesitate to take a mask for the eyes because the light of the corridor is out very late and it almost day in the room when it is lighted."

"We stayed in Porto Novo Anilao Dive & Leisure Resort for 7 days 6 nights. The rooms are very clean and the food in their restaurant is very good. The F&B staff are friendly and the food is yummy. We did 16 dives with them. Thanks very much to instructor Mervin, JM and their dive team. They are professional, very friendly and make you feel like a VIP. They took us to several beautiful dive sites which I never think Anilao have them. I strongly recommend this resort and I am sure I will come back again. Special thanks to Janet for the Lo Mei, JM for the Mei Hon and Halo Halo. Hope to see you all again very soon."
