Heritage Madurai ★★★★★
"Everything about this place is just perfect"
Hotel Grand Sabarees ★★★
"The hotel has a fantastic location—just a 3–4 minute walk from Madurai Railway Junction and within walking distance of major temples. There are plenty of restaurants and food options nearby, which makes it very convenient for travelers. The complimentary breakfast was excellent, offering a wide variety of south Indian dishes that were excellent ( Pongal, Dosai, Idly, Vadai, Puri, Coffe, tea, Fruits, Cornflakes, Sweet etc. All were provided). Rooms were clean, and the staff was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The room was clean and well-maintained, but the size was a major concern. For a family suite with an extra mattress, the space felt very cramped—there was barely any room to walk around once the mattress was added. The bathroom was also quite small, which made it less comfortable for a family stay. Overall, while the cleanliness was good, the room size did not match the premium price we paid. Another inconvenience was the single small lift that could only accommodate 3–4 people at a time—carrying luggage meant waiting longer. Overall, while the location, cleanliness, and breakfast were great, the price does not justify the room size and amenities. If you’re looking for convenience and good food options, this hotel works well, but be prepared for limited space and a higher price point. This is the only reason for 3 stars. Else wud have given 5"

Mount Retreat Resorts - Madurai
"It is a decent property but managed very unprofessionally. Staff could be more friendly and trained. Bathrooms are bad. Lawn and villa look pleasant. Access is bad. No network is another bummer. Restaurant is a disaster. They push you to give exact order well in advance and that too poor dry roties. Book at your own risk. Not worth the money."
Hotel Weshtern Park
"Comfortable stay with good morning breakfast"
Rio Grande Residency
"Excellent infrastructure for money we pay. Staff all kind and helpful. Food is very tasty. Good to stay"
Hotel President
"I booked this hotel for 25th and 26th December and had a very disappointing and unprofessional experience. In the morning, the booking team informed me that the tariff was ₹3,800 per night per room. Since I needed two rooms, the total came to ₹7,600. I confirmed the booking the same evening, and they again assured me of the same price. They even mentioned that they had spoken to their manager, who approved the rate. After this, I paid the advance and received the booking voucher, so everything was confirmed. But the next morning, I received a call saying the earlier price was “incorrect” and that the actual tariff was ₹5,600 per night due to peak season. When I questioned this sudden price change after confirmation, both the manager and the booking team kept saying sorry and blamed the booking staff, claiming he was “new.” However, this kind of behavior is completely unacceptable—especially when a booking has already been confirmed, approved, and paid for. Even more disappointing was the manager’s attitude. Instead of taking responsibility, he rudely said I should either cancel or accept the higher amount. No proper explanation, and no accountability. Because of this last-minute change, I had to cancel the booking, which also disrupted my other travel plans. This incident shows a clear lack of transparency and professionalism. It seems they can change prices anytime by blaming staff errors, leaving customers helpless during peak season. My honest advice: Please be cautious while booking this hotel, especially during busy periods. My experience felt unreliable and misleading. I hope others do not face the same inconvenience."
