"Myself a a friend spent three nights at Mafia Island Lodge, and loves our time there. The location is wonderful, with a view of palm trees down to the beach, and a 2 minute walk to Big Blu where all the excursions leave from. We stayed in the superior rooms which were comfortable, clean and light. Great airconditioning (essential in Mafia in Feb!) and a little private patio with views over the garden. The staff absolutely make this place. Iris the hotel manager is welcoming and warm, and all her staff, from the waiters to the Masai guards, are delightful and professional. Food was great, we went for the full board option. We especially appreciated our delicious packed lunches when out on excursions that were all in containers and with mental cutlery - no single use plastic or styrofoam, hooray! Looking forward to seeing the results of the renovations and hope to return again. Thank you, Asante Sana!"

"I stayed at Meremeta Lodge as a solo female traveler and remote worker, and it exceeded expectations Location is great: Just outside the entrance to the Marine Park, but you’re still a short walk (30m) away from the park gate. Even nerarer by provided bikes. Clever and convenient. Not beachfront, and that’s a plus: Peaceful, secluded, surrounded by nature. Ideal for focus. Great value for money. Reliable power and internet: I had zero issues working online. This place is remote-work friendly, no doubt. That feels like a real luxury in some islands off the Tanzanian coast. Diving paradise: Easy access to world-class dive sites. I did a lot of dives during my stay and loved being able to walk everywhere while still clocking steps. Nutritious meals: The food is clean and energizing—perfect for anyone working or diving all day. Highly recommended if you're looking to unplug, dive deep (literally and mentally), and get meaningful work done."

"I can easily say this is the best stay I have experienced. Our room was beautiful, clean and tidy. The bed was huge and super comfy. The food every night was so delicious, everything from the coconut chutney to the salad at lunch and the meat was absolutely perfect. Service was again, the best I have ever experienced, we had umbarellas dropped to our room when it was raining and when I was sunburnt Adie brought fresh aloe Vera! A very thoughtful and well put together team, who, when short staffed worked super hard to keep us happy. Thank you so much Francesca and Marco for having us, and teaching us so much about the island!! Hopefully see you next year! X"
