Eco Shamba Kilole is ideal for lovers and birders. The flying foxes are just right by the lodge. Nice mangroves forest line just along the land. We had a great time there to decompress!"

"This is a lovely place to have an evening meal. Went there twice during our stay on Mafia Island. The food quality and service was superb. Meremeta is the owner and makes an amazing host. The place is very clean, open aired with fans for cooling."

"Fantastic place. Staff are very welcoming and friendly. Spacious en-suite room with sitting area, air con and outside veranda. Good central hub where meals are served, has a bar and pool table, and lots of places to sit, relax and admire the view. Bar snacks and three course meals available - the food was very good and the chef can accommodate requests. Pool clean and well maintained. Sea a one minute walk, with beach bar. Excursions can be arranged via reception - including whale shark trip and snorkelling. Peaceful setting. What made this place shine though were the staff - they looked after me so well throughout my stay, and particularly when I extended my stay by 3 days due to flight cancellations after the rest of my group had left. Would definitely recommend without hesitation."
