Hotel Malcesine
"Ididn't stay, I only ate at the lovely out door restaurant. Staff were lovely and helpful as I needed a take aways for my husband. He was poorly and could not leave his accomodation. Food was fine. On the last night I had a take away for my husband and returned for my own meal. It was the older waiter who served me and said there were no more tables but he could put me in the indoor restaurant. There was one more couple finishing their meal and I was left in the restaurant by myself for the duration of the meal. I felt humiliated and belittled being a single person by myself. Everyone after me were given an out side table. There was no effort to find me table outside. I had actually paid for two meals every time although one of them was a take away. I didnt feel I was wasting table space. Perhaps said waiter could be more courteous to single diners!"
Hotel Dolomiti
Hotel Modena Old Town
"the location is absolutely perfect! - in the heart of the historical center, it allowed easy access to all the major attractions, shops, and restaurants, making our exploration of the city incredibly convenient. The receptionist Lucca was incredibly welcoming and helpful. He provided great recommendations for local sights and dining options. I also want to highlight the lovely lady - Doina at breakfast. She was not only attentive but also created a warm atmosphere that made our mornings delightful. The breakfast spread was delicious, with a variety of options that catered to all tastes, and her cheerful nature made it even more enjoyable. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and conveniently located stay in the city. Thank you for a memorable visit!"
Albergo Aurora
Ambienthotel Spiaggia
"2 adults, 2 kids (10 and 7). Perfect stay for all of us. Such a beautiful hotel and a beautiful setting. Chilled out vibe, lots of sunbed space around the pool, lovely breakfast and lovely staff. The lake is literally right at your doorstep, which meant we could go for an evening sunset swim while the kids chilled out in the room for a few minutes. The lake was always calm because it's sheltered from the moutnain winds by the little peninsula, silky smooth and clean water. We walked into Malcesine most days, brought our togs and took a few dips in the lake on the way (lovely walkway all the way, just a small patch that's shared with cars up to Spar). Also took a boat trip to Limone . If you want bikes for kids, you have to bring them with you, couldn't rent kids bikes unfortunately because the bike paths follow the lake. Would definitely love to come back. What a serene and beautiful place ."
Club Hotel Olivi - Tennis Center
"This was my 4th visit in consecutive years. Travelled with a group of friends to play tennis. Despite the weather, we managed to play daily. Food was better than last year and I looked forward to meal times! My lake room with a balcony was lovely, clean. Only thing that didn't work all the time was the TV but it didn't bother me as I wasn't in the room much. Olivi is a very special place from the management and all the staff who are friendly and welcoming. Thank you to Vanessa who dealt with my mozzie bites. I just hope Olivi will still be open next year as I will be back. Just don't understand the few negative comments - barmy. Thank you Olivi."
Hotel Vega
"The hotel was immaculate and perfect in every way. The staff are very friendly and welcoming!! We celebrated our silver wedding anniversary whilst staying at the hotel and Marco had made a card that was waiting for us on our table at breakfast, a lovely suprise for us both and made the day extra special! The location is perfect for exploring Malcesine and the local area. It was so lovely to be able to walk 5 mins into town and it's a flat walk. Lots of fabulous restaurants and shops to explore! Our room faced the mountain which was perfect for us. Marco has really thought of everything with this hotel as every floor had a small balcony with seating area that you could use to have views over the lake which we thought was a wonderful touch. The breakfast was beautiful and a wide selection of choices. Eggs cooked however you wanted and each morning asked how you would like them cooked. This is a 3 star hotel but it's 5 star standard!! We hope to return to Malcesine in the future and this is the only hotel we would want to stay at. Thank you to Marco and the whole team for making our holiday perfect and for the personal touches."
Hotel Val Di Sogno - Adults Only
"Fabulous trip to Lake Garda, staying at the wonderful Val Di Sogno hotel. Great location a 20 min walk along the lake promenade to Malcesine for restaurants and bars plus ferry links to go across the lake to other towns. Breakfast was excellent spread and the juicer machine a great touch. Service at the hotel was first class, arranging transfers, restaurant reservations.. Katja and team were A1 The pool area is lovely to come back to mid afternoon after a morning exploring and sight seeing. Would highly recommend this hotel"
Hotel Laura Christina
"We booked this hotel for one night as a stopover on our way south. We were put in a run-down and dirty room on the ground floor. The bed was completely worn out and disgusting, with several cobwebs and bits of dirt hanging above it. The style of the rooms seems to date back to the 70s or 80s and is also quite dilapidated. The bathroom was very small, the shower difficult for my husband (who is 1.90 meters tall) to use, and it was clearly in dire need of renovation. From 3:00 a.m. onwards, sleep was impossible because construction workers staying in the hallway and outside were having a party. We didn't use the pool, so I can't comment on that. At least the air conditioning worked, and the breakfast was okay. Thirty years ago, this was certainly a good hotel, but today it desperately needs an investment in renovations. If it were renovated, I see great potential in the property. I would never spend a whole vacation here. The prices are unjustified for this condition and far too high!"

Hotel Villa Orizzonte
"The first single room was catastrophic - then another big get without problems. Very good breakfast and friendly staff."
Hotel Anna
Hotel Villa Carmen
"A gem of a find situated along an uncrowded section of the picturesque mid-lake shore but within an easy lakefront walk of the bustling (somewhat touristy) and historic town of Malcesine. Comfortable, nicely updated rooms with fabulous views across Lake Garda. A highlight is the 100 metre stretch of private and nicely maintained lakefront reserve backed by a screening hedge of flowering jasmine with swimming off the little beaches an unexpected treat in unusually warm May weather. Friendly, relaxed and helpful hosts in Flo and David, an appealing bar terrace and the availability of parking all add to the appeal."
Hotel Sole Malcesine
"A comfortable place for a break, easy to find and has everything in one place. Very pleasant place to stay."
Hotel Europa
Majestic Palace
"4 of us stayed in one of the Junior suites for 3 nights, 2 adults 2 kids and have to say this is a great hotel with loads for kids and adults alike. Check in took ages for some reason but you are given tokens for a free welcome glass of prosecco which is a nice touch. The room we stayed in was modern in comparison to the rooms in the main hotel itself and it situated behind the main hotel. For the 4 of us there was one double bed and 2 singles pushed together by the door into the room. All the beds are in the same room. The shower was located in the main room at the back by the separate bathroom which is a bit strange and offered little privacy when showering. Overall the room was great and the beds were very comfortable and the aircon was excellent, there was a mini fridge in the room which was really handy also. The wifi throughout the hotel and grounds is excellent as well which is a big bonus when you have kids with you. There so much to do here for kids with several pools including a kiddies pool which was never crowded. There's mini golf, tennis, several play areas and a ballpit/enclosed play area however this needs a bit of TLC as was quite dusty when our kids went in. There's a very active kids club and kids entertainment every evening also which was great. The gym for adults wasn't really a gym just a few machines but the indoor pool next to the gym was excellent and always empty. The food was OK with lunch being your usual pizza, pasta burgers etc. In the evening you have a choice of just pizzas or salads in the bar or you can pay €23 per adult and €13 per kid for a buffet dinner. We tried the buffet one night and the food was extremely average; chewy pork chops, dry pizza and average beef stroganoff. You are better off sticking to the pizzas in the bar. The breakfast is top notch with a massive selection on order and we enjoyed it every morning. I found service in the bar difficult sometimes with some of the staff not understanding what we were looking for but a special shout out goes to Sarah And Abigail who looked after us really well when we were there. As mentioned in previous reviews location here is not very walking friendly so we relies on taxis most of the time to get into Malcesine, €10 each was for the 7 of us so not bad! Would I stay here again, yes 100%."
Hotel Casa Chincarini
"Super facility. The pool is genial and everything is super clean. We were the 2th time there. The location is also genial. It is a very well managed family hotel. Also breakfast does not open wishes. We come back"
Eco Hotel Ariston
"My husband and I stayed here for 5 nights while we were in town for a wedding. We absolutely loved the hotel. The staff were fantastic, the breakfast was delicious, location could not be beat. We were walking distance to the old town, loads of restaurants, grocery stores, beaches. Our room was comfortable and we loved our afternoon drinks on the balcony overlooking the garden and the castle. The only downside I could mention about the hotel was that the walls are quite thin and we could easily hear our neighbor's tv first thing in the morning. Otherwise, though, I cannot fault it. I would happily return and stay again. Thanks for a wonderful stay!"
Park Hotel Val di Monte
"Hotel Val di Monte is nothing short of extraordinary. Perched in the hills above Malcesine, it offers the most stunning panoramic views of Lake Garda – sunrise from the terrace is pure magic. The hotel itself is spotless, elegantly designed, and exudes warmth and tranquility. The staff goes above and beyond – welcoming, professional, and genuinely kind. The breakfast is delicious, with fresh local ingredients and that unforgettable view. The pool area is a dream, surrounded by olive trees and silence. If you're looking for peace, beauty, and a touch of Italian paradise, this is the place. We left completely in love with everything about it. Grazie mille for an unforgettable stay! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐"
Hotel Querceto Wellness & Spa by Double Hospitality
"5/5 rating, would rate higher if I could. Location was stunning, hotel facilities were excellent. Best thing about this hotel was the staff. Everyone we interacted with were lovely & couldn’t do enough for you. So friendly & definitely service with a smile.. Loved it ❤️"
Beach Hotel du Lac Malcesine
"I spent 4 nights at this hotel last week and I couldn't have been happier. I had dreamed of staying at this hotel for years - I used to stay in Val di Sogno but the walk into town is too much for me now. The staff here are so friendly and helpful and my lakefront room was a dream. I hope I am lucky enough to get back here before too long."
Bellevue San Lorenzo (Adults Only)
"What a beautiful villa and charming hotel this is! We came here to stay with my parents for our 20th wedding anniversary, usually we stay in the centre but we realise if you stay just a little further out you can get more for your money and much nicer larger hotels. The walk is a very pretty 30min walk round the bay, or taxi to the centre is 10eu. This one was perfect- everything that we hoped for- amazing views and grounds, beautiful infinity style pool, clean nice rooms, adult only and quiet and great breakfasts with a very busy and popular evening restaurant that we dined at a couple of times and was very good- different daily set menu for 40eu pp which is exceptional great value. Bar and cocktails good, helpful staff, would definitely recommend!"
Albergo Villa Edera
Hotel Stella Alpina
"We stayed 3 nights at the hotel for a family wedding. The hotel is in the perfect location with just a 15 min walk to the centre of Malcesine but being far enough away from the huddle and bustle. The staff at the hotel were a delight (especially the lady who sadly I did not get her name). We had an extensive breakfast offer each day with a variety of hot drinks. The room we had at the rear of the hotel was compact but the bathroom was a good size and the shower was a delight. There was a small balcony overlooking the hills behind. The pool was a wonder especially to relax in and around as it was very hot and sunny during our stay."
Hotel Capri
Albergo San Remo
"Had seen lots of great comments for this restaurant and since it was close to accommodation easy walk for us. Had really nice welcome and chose a Rose wine, very nice. I had sea food platter, beautiful fish loads of veg and salad, couldn’t eat it all, my wife had a pizza and said it was one of the best she had had. Right on water front well worth a visit, service also very good"
