"Stayed here for a long weekend. Check in was relatively straight forward, although I have to be honest and say that others had to wait up to an hour because they didn't know how to use the auto check-in & there were no staff available to help. Rooms were clean and tidy and although we were a little bit uneasy about there being no windows to open in our room, the Aircon turned out to be brilliant - kept the room at a nice 19⁰c when it was almost 30 outside. Breakfast was brilliant, the best we've had in a Premier Inn. We only had an evening meal once (as there were limited bookings available due to staff shortages) and that too, was brilliant. Staff, where we encountered them were all excellent, extremely helpful & professional. Only 1 issue for me - people above us were incredibly heavy footed and seemed to up and about all hours of the night. We visit this area a lot and usually stay closer to the M1, but we've decided we will be coming here again for our next visit."

"We stayed for one night in December and really like this hotel. Our room was clean, spacious and nicely decorated. The hotel and grounds are beautiful. We had dinner in the restaurant, which was very good (I recommend booking in advance, as it was busy on a Saturday night), and breakfast in the morning, also very good. We will be happy to return some time!"

"So had high expectations of our stay here. We were fortunate to get an early check in which was great. Spacious double room was ok but nothing spectacular. Booked in for an evening meal and were allocated the restaurant which was very bright and had no atmosphere. The bar area looked much better and more welcoming. We would have preferred this. Beef and ale pie was very ordinary served with chips and broccoli/cabbage. The roast beef was nicely cooked but came with only one slice. Christmas pudding was small and peach/plumb crumble was again ordinary. However, service was friendly and prompt. So would we return again? No. Was expecting there to be a “Wow!” Factor. Felt disappointed as it was supposed to be a special occasion. Overpriced and we have stayed at better places. Was expecting much more. Just have to be honest with the review."

"A wonderful, quiet location with plenty of free parking and an extremely warm welcome,The hotel could do with a little tender care, as parts of it were disintegrating and in poor repair. The window frames, which are unfortunately rotting away, along with slipped, broken roof tiles due to lack of maintenance. We were a little disappointed that we could not order our tasty evening Indian meal from the on-site restaurant to eat in our room after a long day out and about, and instead had to eat in the poorly lit restaurant, so much so that I could not read the menu with the tiny writing and poor design colors. I would not stay again, as what was described as a standard double room on the second floor was in a converted half-eve loft with no view out of the roof windows. The ensuite was adequate, with a good shower; towels, soap and body wash were included, though only one pair of slippers. Breakfast is not included in the price of the room, which, in my opinion, was too expensive for what it is."
