"Incredible B&B for a home base for all things to do in and around Mena. My wife and I have stayed here twice now for a little summer getaways, in both the upstairs of the main house and cottage across the backyard garden. Both different, but wonderful. Jolynn and John are gracious hosts - accommodating, warm and great to talk to. They make you feel more like distant relatives in town on a visit than just random travelers. John is a fantastic cook with a wheelhouse including both the savory and sweet (the oddly named “Dutch baby” is worth the stay alone). Coffee is alway hot, rich and fresh. The big old house is next to it’s namesake park, which makes for a nice walk or hang. Most restaurants and shops off the main drag are a 5-10 minutes by foot. All has a sense of place, birds in the morning, fireflies on warm summer nights… already want to return and have it be the same… in fact ignore all this and stick to the over priced cabins and traffic jams of Broken Bow… Seriously though, Janssen Park Place B&B is a must stay."

"The magnolia suite was a luxurious escape during our exploration of Arkansas. Darren is a true local knowledge font and his blueberry muffins are the absolute best! The Inn was recommended by friends and it is everything they described. Wonderful visit."

"The owner is more than accommodating. Didn’t have a blow dryer in room and owner sent for a new one. Bed is more than comfortable. Walked in to one of the best smelling rooms I have ever stayed in. I stay in motels and hotels several times a month and this place you can’t say enough about its quality. Hard to change the outside of an old motel but they sure did a great job on the inside. If you going to Mena this is where to stay!"

"The accomadations were very comfortable. The room was great. And the entire place was very comfortable. It was a pleasure meeting and visiting with the hosts. Unfortunately, I had to leave quite early each morning and missed out on a great breakfast, according to several of the locals I spoke with. This location sets the bar for what a BnB should be. I can only hope my travels will take me here again… especially at a time when I am able to stay for breakfast."
