Janssen Park Place

"Incredible B&B for a home base for all things to do in and around Mena. My wife and I have stayed here twice now for a little summer getaways, in both the upstairs of the main house and cottage across the backyard garden. Both different, but wonderful. Jolynn and John are gracious hosts - accommodating, warm and great to talk to. They make you feel more like distant relatives in town on a visit than just random travelers. John is a fantastic cook with a wheelhouse including both the savory and sweet (the oddly named “Dutch baby” is worth the stay alone). Coffee is alway hot, rich and fresh. The big old house is next to it’s namesake park, which makes for a nice walk or hang. Most restaurants and shops off the main drag are a 5-10 minutes by foot. All has a sense of place, birds in the morning, fireflies on warm summer nights… already want to return and have it be the same… in fact ignore all this and stick to the over priced cabins and traffic jams of Broken Bow… Seriously though, Janssen Park Place B&B is a must stay."

Executive Inn

"This hotel looks very rough and parts are but I stayed in 106 and was really surprised. It was clean, fresh smelling and freshly renovated. The bed was comfortable it was quiet except for the semi with the Jake brake at 4:40am. The room had a new microwave and fridge with freezer. I was pleasantly surprised that the room had a smart tv so I was able to stream Netflix and Amazon. If I was a lady you might want to wait until they clean up the rest of the property but they are working on it. As a single guy that travels a lot I felt pretty safe. I normally stay in Marriott hotels mainly because they have smart tvs but I would stay there again. I hope they continue to improve on the property to make it look nicer. The people seemed very nice."

Sassafras Inn

"The Sassafras Inn is a wonderful accommodation with an amazing host. Darren contacted us before our stay with information on the Inn, local restaurants, and area attractions. He was there to greet us when we arrived, gave us a tour, and offered his freshly baked muffins, which we enjoyed with coffee. We were in the Magnolia Suite upstairs, quiet and spacious. Before going to dinner in town, we had an enjoyable sit on the side porch. We highly recommend the Inn and Darren for a very comfortable stay!"
