By far the best hotel stay we’ve had so far, the rooms were very clean, breakfast was delicious, and staff were very kind and helpful. Every day the staff delivered a little dessert to our room free of charge, and surprised us with a honeymoon gift of a bottle of champagne and a charcuterie board with warm fresh made bread and a handmade card. We highly recommend NYA for anyone staying in Montezuma!"

"This place was such a pleasant surprise. We travelled all over Costa Rica, and while this certainly isn’t the most luxurious place you’ll stay in, it definitely has wonderful service and an overall great vibe. The owner is amazing, and was super helpful for us in getting back into town with our luggage to catch the ferry back. Speaking of which - if you’re walking from the town up the hill it’s a very steep walk, so be prepared! Excellent proximity to the waterfall with your own special entrance, your own private hanging bridge, and a fantastic brewery right next to the property to walk to. Overall, we’d happily stay here again!"

"My husband and I stayed here March 2025 and booked a return visit with our kids before we left. We LOVED our time here. This trip included a New Year celebration that was relaxing, fun, and memorable! We love the staff at Ylang Ylang… we feel sad leaving them, like they are part of the family. Accommodations are lovely, grounds are beautiful, pool was great, ocean is right out the door… I could go on and on! We also love the cuisine!!!"

"A beautiful hotel in the heart of Montezuma ♥️ It has a beautiful view to the ocean and is in the middle of stunning nature. The staff is very kind and helpful. There is a little kitchen which was very nice and a television! We couldn’t ask for more!"

"The good: the hotel is located a short walk from the beach, right in the middle of the tiny town of Montezuma. Through their sister hotel Ylang Ylang, I booked a fantastic birding tour with eagle-eyed Eduardo. It was inexpensive and included breakfast and air conditioning. The not so good: the mattress was quite hard. I thought there might not be hot water, but it was just very slow. The layout is that there's a hallway with side by side rooms. The room had a window that looked out onto the hallway, but no exterior light. There were also noisy neighbors and there was no sound dampening. You have to ask for the wifi password. I tried to walk down the beach to Ylang Ylang for the pool, and maybe it was just me, but it was much more than a 10 minute walk! There is a shady dirt road, but nobody seemed to know how I could get to it. "
