Hotel Ace Morioka
"It’s a hotel located about midway between Morioka Station and the castle ruins park, with an arcade shopping street nearby and many places to eat. Most tourist spots are within about one kilometer. The interior of the hotel is old, and at times the voices of other guests echoed and felt noisy But it is still good hotel to stay"
GRIDS PREMIUM HOTEL MORIOKA(Newly open on 2026 May 1st)
"Both the room and the public bath were clean and comfortable. There are two elevators, but they are a bit slow, so I recommend allowing plenty of time for your travel."
Daiwa Roynet Hotel Morioka Station (Ekimae)
"Clean room, efficient staff and was lucky to have a room with a good view of Mt Iwate and the river"
Toyoko Inn Morioka Ekimae
"Room was big enough for two people stay for one night. Service was good. Hotel staff were accommodating."
Richmond Hotel Morioka Ekimae
"Thw location is excellent! Just near Morioka Station. Very convenient. Staff is super friendly. Room space is very big. Very clean. There is combini store just on the first floor. Amenities is also pretty good! Thank you very much!"
Daiwa Roynet Hotel Morioka
"Excellent location Reasonable price River, shrines , Restaurants, pubs are walkable! 13 minutes walk from central station!"
Hotel Metropolitan Morioka
"Conveniently located beside JR Morioka station and Iwate Galaxy Railway (IGR) Line with the bus terminus across the road in front of the hotel and also housed within the same building as the FESAN Shopping Mall. Room was spacious and the breakfast (buffet style) in the hotel’s Chinese restaurant was good. City sightseeing bus stops at 5pm so I opted to walk to Morioka Castle/Park which took about 20mins to reach."
Toyoko Inn Morioka Eki Minami Guchi Ekimae
"Perhaps the worst hotel throughout my Tokyo-Tohoku trip. Staffs are not at all friendly, it almost felt like discrimination because the reception greeted all their guests with their usual "welcome" and "thank you", but not the 'Chinese looking guests'. They don't speak English well either. The toilet malfunctioned for almost 2 hours in the morning, there was no water to flush. There is no wardrobe to store clothes, no space to even place our luggages. Worst of all, there is only one elevator (mind you, it's a multi-storey hotel, it's so tall it could be seen from Morioka station itself). Which hotel has only 1 elevator? The lift was full and it stopped at almost every floor in the morning full, and some guests could not enter the lift and had to wait for another round. Imagine the guests that stay on the lower floors with luggages. Although this hotel is fairly near the Morioka station, we would not recommend it at all. There are other hotels with better amenities as close as 100 metres from this hotel. And it's not exactly cheap - it was the same price as the best 3-star hotel we've stayed in Sendai (and Sendai is a much bigger town)."
Hotel Shion
"Amazing view and spacious room. If you are staying 1 night, be sure to visit the onsen at the evening / afternoon, because next morning you get to try another different set of onsen. Good food. Highly recommend. There is a special performance at the hall at 8.15pm until 2027, non guest need to pay 1,500jpy and we get to watch it for free. Very memorable experience. Contact hotel before hand to book a shuttle service from morioka station, they dropped you at the doorstep."

Super Hotel Morioka
"The room wasn't particularly spacious, but it was very clean, and the staff were very friendly. The breakfast was also just right. There's a large 24-hour supermarket nearby, which is very convenient."
Hotel Global View Morioka
"Hotel Jin Morioka is just next to the train station. Very convenient location as a center point to travel in the region. Rooms are clean and nice with Mountain View. Breakfast for only 1000 Yen is a very good offer. Definitely recommend this hotel 👍"
Dormy Inn Morioka Natural Hot Spring
"Hotel staff are very friendly & helpful. Hotel & Onsen are clean. Bed size and firmness are decent. However, location is not ideal for walking with luggage from Morioka Train Station. "
Hotel Royal Morioka
"It is located in downtown Morioka, so it has good accessibility to other food and shopping areas. There is also a Starbucks on the first floor, so it would be good for those who like coffee. I was a little confused at first because Pronto and Starbucks were on the first floor, but other than that, the customer service was good. One downside is that it doesn't work. The only drawback is that you can hear everything being said in the next room. Still, the room was clean and I only have good memories from the trip."
Yumori Hotel Taikan
"It was a really great hot spring inn ♨️ I'll definitely come again next time."
Bessou Kakei
"We didn't encounter any other guests and were able to relax in peace and quiet. The room was thoroughly cleaned and felt very tidy. The stone tray where the bathroom amenities were placed was great as it allowed everyone to keep their belongings organized. The breakfast was delicious, but I wish it was a little more substantial. Overall, I was very satisfied. Thank you for your hospitality."
Yamaichi
"The elders were very welcoming and made me feel at home. On the first day, I arrived late and said they would prepare a midnight snack for me, which was a rice ball. On the second day, they asked me when they would prepare it for me, but I declined. The hot spring is transparent, but I could smell the sulfur on the second floor. It was slippery after soaking."
Aishinkan
"My family and I stayed here over the New Year holidays. It was our first time back in 20 years. This time, we stayed in the main building, but the facilities were old. Apparently, the elevator in the annex broke down, and the main building's power was partially shut off for inspection, causing the water supply to be weak and unusable for a long period of time. I inquired at the front desk about the situation, but the only announcement made over the in-house announcement was an apology and explanation about the annex elevator and no information about the main building's toilets. The rooms and toilets are well-maintained, so please rest assured. We ate buffet meals both in the evening and in the morning. The selection and taste were average. The bath was spacious, and the water didn't have a hot spring smell, which I really liked. Although I didn't use it this time, there is an open-air standing bath. I highly recommend using it if you stay here."
Hotel Pearl City Morioka
"This time I stayed here only to sleep during a business trip, but there were several types of shampoos available in the lobby and a decent amount of amenities! The building and appearance looked a little old, but the rooms were clean and well-kept. This is a perfect place to stay for business. You can walk to the downtown area."
Kita Hotel
"It's very quiet, the interior is beautiful, and the value for money is good. There are many restaurants in the area, so I would like to use it again."
Shikitei Morioka TsunagiOnsen
"Location is a distance from the bus stop but there was a free shuttle service provided by the hotel. Onsen facilities were good! Great service provided by staff! Would love to stay longer if possible."
