"What an amazing place to stay! It feels like you’re in the wilderness but it’s a peaceful, high quality hotel (we stayed in a hotel room) with tasty, locally farmed, Icelandic food on the restaurant menu and a very good breakfast included on our hotel booking. The staff were so friendly and helpful - and there are 2 dogs, a friendly reindeer called Toby, an arctic fox, goats and sheep wandering around. In fact the dogs escorted me on my walk to a lake which made my day. To top it all we saw a stunning northern lights display and the sky was perfectly clear. A fabulous place !"

"The service staff in the hotel are very friendly and the prices in the restaurant are very reasonable. The room in the camping area has a comfortable temperature and the bed is very comfortable, but the space is a bit insufficient and not suitable for luggage. The bathroom and toilet are outside but it's warm and not cold at all."

"The Lonsleira Apartments is a unique collection of 4 apartments or two buildings (duplex) side by side by the water in a beautiful fjord. The apartment is located in the middle of beauty. Everything you would need is in the apartment. A kitchen with all the amenities, spacious bathroom and many bedrooms. Also an outdoor deck with BBQ. We are a family of four and there was ample space. Restaurants and shops are all within walking distance. It is a smaller town so various restaurants weren't open during our stay and grocery store closes by 5-6pm but there are options. The self check-in process was smooth and easy. Parking outside the apartment is perfect. All 4 apartments were in use when we stayed and could not hear the others during our stay. Also a laundry room is available for use on property which was super helpful for us. To be honest, I was debating whether I should book the Lonsleira Apartments at first as it wasn't your typical "hotel" accommodation but I am so glad I did as it was one of our many highlights for our trip around Iceland. My family thoroughly enjoyed our time here."

"It's an acceptable place for staying one night but nothing charming about it. Rooms are clean and beds are very comfortable. There is one shared kitchen which is too small for all the rooms and was crowded at dinner time. It has a very small dishwasher to leave the dirty dishes in, but in the morning was full and running so all the dishes were laying dirty in the kitchen sink."

"We stayed here for one night and were given one out of the two bigger cabins. When we arrived, we were shocked that the door had been left open the whole day, leading to there being more than 100 flies everywhere. The bedroom, bathroom and kitchen were all infested with flies and we simply could not get rid of them. The rooms were also not in the best condition, and were not very clean. I’m not sure if anyone else had this experience here, but the price was too high for this quality."

"a charming hotel in a small town, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The room was cozy and well-decorated, creating a welcoming atmosphere. However, I did find the kitchen lacking; it would have been more convenient to have an induction stove and a microwave, along with some basic cooking equipment like pots and pans. While there was a supermarket across the road, stocking up on raw food proved challenging for a short stay. Additionally, the absence of nearby restaurants made dining options limited. Despite these drawbacks, the hotel provided a comfortable base for my visit."

The pre-checking info was scant—no phone number in case of difficulties, for example, and there was no sign on the premises, so I wandered around for awhile before deciding which building was the guesthouse/hostel. The bed was okay, the kitchen had cooking equipment in it, but I never did find the trash. The house was in the middle of a farm field. Facilities were clean, but the finish work on the new? construction was poor."

There are no restaurants in the area, so it's advisable to bring your own food. The surroundings are beautiful with a pleasant atmosphere. On clear days, you can even see the Northern Lights from this location."

"This stay was truly excellent! The guesthouse was very comfortable overall, with a large kitchen equipped with new and complete appliances that were very convenient to use. The rooms were also spacious, and the overall environment was clean and tidy, making for a very comfortable stay. Furthermore, the location is fantastic; if you're lucky, you might even see the Northern Lights, making this stay even more special! The only minor suggestion is that it would be more convenient if the check-in process or contact information were clearly provided beforehand. We waited a little while after arriving and were able to contact someone before successfully checking in. However, overall, this didn't affect our positive impression of the guesthouse at all, and we highly recommend it!"

"Room is great. We had the whole house to ourselves. Check in was a bit confusing at first but was able to figure it out eventually. Nice place to stay in to experience a local housing. We had a nice view of the church just beside the house. We paid for breakfast. The spread was ok and the lady serving us was nice. Made us hot chocolate and espresso 😊"
