"One of the most unforgettable stays we’ve ever had. From the moment my family stepped through the door, we were wrapped in a warm, cosy ambience that instantly made us feel at ease. The room was impeccably clean and wonderfully comfortable, offering the perfect space to relax and unwind. Both dinner and breakfast were nothing short of exceptional—each meal thoughtfully prepared and absolutely delightful. The onsen, overlooking a serene river view, was the true highlight, creating a tranquil and almost dreamlike experience. Every moment spent there felt precious and completely worthwhile."

"A small ryokan right next to bus station and entrance of Shirakawago. It is the best location to stay there. However, it is not gussho house but it is a full ryokan with onsen and meals. I stayed in a room with bed, not tatami floor. All rooms are without toilet and bathroom. Drinking water fountain is provided. Two coffee vouchers per day were provided, but not served during or after meal. It is available at front desk. Meals were great. This place is on high price as its location. We pay for convenience and location. There is a small supermarket nearby too but it is close early. They also sell used (but washed and clean) yukata too. Onsen is good, available both indoor and outdoor, as well as sauna."

"Toyota Shirakawa-go Eco-Institute is a nice place for you to explore the forest pard of Shirakawa-go. They offer a free forest walk tour which can let you know about the diversity of the area. The 6 course French dinner is nice and the bread served in breakfast was lovely. The room is relatively small but the bed is comfortable. Will recommend this place for those who are looking for exploring Shirakawa-go."
