Ramada by Wyndham Princess Paramaribo
"Nice hotel, nice rooftop, but unfortunately the rooms have no balcony or window."
Spanhoek Boutique Hotel
"Extremely satisfied, excellent, thank you so much! It's very close to McDonald's and also very close to the casino."
Royal Torarica
"The Torarica Hotel is located in an excellent spot, offering easy access to key attractions and a pleasant surrounding area. However, the overall experience does not justify the high price. The fitness center is outdated and poorly maintained, making it unsuitable for a proper workout. Service is slow, and staff seem more focused on enforcing rules than providing a welcoming atmosphere. Unfortunately, the quality and service level are more in line with a solid 2-star hotel. (Swimming pool opens around 08:00 and gym is not 24h open)."
Radisson Hotel Paramaribo
"Not recommended. This hotel is infuriating; there's so much noise."
Torarica Resort
"Very good. Thank you very much"
Royal Breeze Paramaribo
"Environment: Located in the city center, near the bus station, it's a bit nerve-wracking at night with many people loitering around asking for money. It's safe during the day. Facilities: Somewhat old. Cleanliness: Overall acceptable. Service: The front desk staff speaks excellent English. Breakfast is decent, and the service is good. One of the recommended taxis was good, but the other driver demanded a higher price and used deceptive tactics to extort money. Very dishonest. See the last picture; be extremely careful and avoid this scam. The sky lounge on the sixth floor has a great view. Drinking water is available in the lobby. There are security guards at the entrance."
Eco Torarica
"The environment is great, with an open-plan breakfast restaurant where you can see birds strolling around. There's a swimming pool, though a bit small, but you can swim at the nearby Torarica and Royal Torarica hotels. Advantages: Great environment, shares resources with the two adjacent hotels; Disadvantages: Rooms are hard to book, often fully booked."
Courtyard Paramaribo
"A bit far from the city center. Pretty crowded hotel. We tried the Japanese food, but overpriced and the taste is just ordinary."

Waterland Suites
"It is hard to say positive things about the Waterland Suites but in truth it is not all bad. On the positive side, my room was large with a comfortable bed and a sort of kitchen area that included a kettle and fridge. The bathroom was okay with lots of hot water in the shower and both the a/c and wifi worked fine. There is a small pool at the back that was clean. Unfortunately, the not so good things outweigh those positive aspects. Firstly, the hotel is oddly situated in what seems to be a suburban area at least 15 minutes by cab from the central city area. It is so far out that it in an area that isn't even officially classified as Paramaribo. The building is wedged tightly into a walled compound. The view from my ground floor room was first of window bars and then coiled razor wire on top of the fence which was at most a meter from the window. It was very dark even in the blazing sunshine. There was a bedside lamp with an EU plug while the power outlet was US configuration. In other words, the lamp was purely decorative. There was no restaurant and none were obvious nearby. The reception area was very small with one 2 seater couch and there was nowhere else to sit that wasn't in my gloomy room. Dogs howled all night. Although we were supposed to stay 3 nights we left after 1. "
Max Garden and Pool
"What a little treasure in Paramaribo! Richard is the best host ever!!!! I felt welcome before I even got to Surinam. His way of correspondence creates a smile on your face. Mr Wonderful:) Location is perfect, safe neighbourhood and supermarket right at the corner. Small refreshing pool and beautifully maintained apartments. Your home away from home"
Villa Famiri Boutique Hotel
"Very welcoming, friendly, attentive, helpful. Clean, attractive."
Empire Villa Paramaribo Noord 1
Happy Holidays Style Residences
"I haven't been there, but it's a pity because the plane can't fly."
Sheva Hotel
"I rarely leave reviews but feel I need to foe this hotel. We booked through ******* where reviews were overall positive. We arrived at check-in and the deposit (which was cash only) was double the amount quoted by expedia...100$...we actually had a great stay until we checked out. The front desk checked our room and said it would be 40$ because we took the remote. (Newsflash : we didnt) we never had a remote in the room. We explained this and were willing to let the staff search our bags. The worker said even if she found nothing in our bags, we would still be charged. In the interim, the worker called her manager she then informed us it would be the whole deposit. I asked her multiple times to call the manager back so that I could speak with him and she out-right refused. I even had her sign my deposit slip where I wrote that she would not call the manager back. In addition, she offered to put my bank information INTO HER PHONE (not the computer) in case they find the remote and were able to refund us. Looking on the internet, i see this has happened to other people as well. Although the room was nice and some reviews are positive, I would warn others about staying at this hotel."
Guesthouse Amice
"I enjoyed the warm and friendly owners and staff at Guesthouse Amice in Paramaribo, Suriname. My room was thoroughly cleaned daily. They served a nice breakfast every morning. I had to be in Suriname for my research, and especially after business hours, it was nice and quiet, allowing me to work effectively in the late afternoon and evening. Although I did not make use of it, many guests used the refreshing pool on very hot days. I recommend this location to anyone looking for an alternative to a big hotel when visiting Paramaribo."
