Great
AAkkarpanOur stay at Spicers Vineyard Estate in the Hunter Valley was truly exceptional! The property is set amidst beautiful vineyards, offering a serene and picturesque atmosphere perfect for a relaxing getaway. The rooms were spacious and elegantly appointed, with every detail considered for comfort and luxury.
We dined at éRemo Restaurant, the sister restaurant of Spicers Guesthouse, and it was a culinary delight. Every course was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor—the Binnie Beef Hunter Valley Wagyu was a standout! The accompanying Thomas wine was superb and perfectly paired with the meal.
We also enjoyed a morning walk along the valley’s scenic trail and were greeted with the sight of hot air balloons floating over the hills—a mesmerizing experience. The entire stay was seamless, the staff were attentive, and the setting couldn’t have been more perfect. Highly recommended for anyone looking to explore the Hunter Valley in style!
TTim Captures MomentsWe stayed at The Carriages Boutique Hotel and Vineyard and it was easily one of the highlights of our trip. This was a place I’d wanted to stay at for a long time, and it absolutely lived up to expectations.
The location was beautiful and peaceful, surrounded by nature, birdlife, and the quiet atmosphere of the Hunter Valley. On our first night, we even had the whole property to ourselves, which made the experience feel extra special.
We enjoyed a lovely dinner nearby and were able to walk back through the gardens to the hotel afterwards, which added to the charm of the stay. Breakfast was simple but perfect, delivered in a basket and ideal for a relaxed morning.
One of the best moments was lighting the fireplace on our final night and enjoying a quiet evening with a glass of wine. The location, service, atmosphere, and overall experience were all fantastic, and this will definitely be one of our fondest memories from the trip.
GGuest UserIt was a lovely stay. Nice room, clean and tidy, the complimentary drink was a nice gesture. The property is huge and peaceful for a relaxing walk around. It's convenient to wineries and restaurants. The only thing didn't really work for us was the air conditioner, couldn't figure out how to turn it on.
RR.T.Amazing stay. Room was super clean and modern. Love the espresso machine and they also provided milk. Really great basic necessities and the shower amenities smell fantastic. Fantastic place to relax and chill, overlooking the vineyards, watching kangaroos hop, and cows grazing the fields. It’s exactly what a getaway should be. Easy to check in and out. Thank you.
CCathy HornsbyVisiting Hunter for Wine tasting and general relaxing weekend. The room was lovely but a little bland.... maybe some plants on the verandah and wall pictures in the room? Also thought it is worth mentioning that high seating would be better on the verandah so we could have enjoyed the view without having to standup all the time to see the wildlife etc... The shower was an issue with water continually pooling outside of the shower cubicle making it dangerous as the bathmat wasn't enough to soak up all of the water.
AAndrew CYWWe truly loved the whole experience offered, from the individual chalets in the midst of the woods, to the kangaroos at our doorstep, to the wines offered at deeply discounted prices in the fridge and the comfortable beds. Locationwise, it is very central as many vineyards, Hunter Valley Gardens and restaurants are just 5-10minutes drive away. Definitely will stay here again should we return to this region
AAnonymous UserLove the location it’s near most of the wine yard and easy to find
Morning waking up to kangaroos jumping at the balcony side it’s so close up that it felt so unreal
PPaul_LynchElysia is a beautiful retreat set atop a hill overlooking the Hunter Valley. I was doubly impressed by the pools, gyms, and health facilities. They helped balance out the effects of the nearby wineries. Also, the rooms are huge and recently renovated.
레레지나This was our accommodation during our Hunter Valley trip! It's a boutique hotel, so it was charming and pretty! Considering the facilities, the price was great since we visited during the off-season 👍 Excellent value for money! We could also see kangaroos in front of the hotel, and the sunset was beautiful. Most importantly, it had a variety of facilities like an indoor pool, spa, and sauna, which we made good use of :) The only downside was that we stayed in a standard room, and the balcony was connected to the next room, which was a bit inconvenient!
HHeidiGreat location, several wineries very nearby.
The owners were helpful to check us in remotely using key pin and drop box.
The pool and grounds are relaxing on a warm day after touring the valley.
The property looks “rustic”, in keeping with provincial charm. everything functioned well and we hope to rebook on future visits.
