The sound of air condition was quite loud but compare to the sound of the shower, it was relatively not that bad. The water flow pressure makes the sound over 5 mins before it became normal.
We expected Fairmount standard higher than we experienced.

We fled here after being evacuated from the Marlborough due to an ”emergency fumigation operation.” It's just down the street, which means same great location! Also, while one night here cost almost as much as three nights at the Marl (lol), after our experience there the professionalism was worth it. Remote / TV weren't working, but a call downstairs sent a friendly guy up who was quick to fix it. Highly recommended if you need a place downtown in the Peg.

Very close to the airport, a few minutes walk to arrive, the environment is not bad, that is, the plane delayed arrival time is relatively late, no stay for a few hours to check out, will continue to patronize next time.

CCam TruongIt was such a seamless experience for a short-term feeling home like stay. Val is such a gentle lady and really care for you as a special family member. You can find a home-made small piece of chocolate on your bed, enjoy the warmth of a cozy outdoor hot tub. See the photo.
Feel like home is what they are trying hard every day to make you that footprint in every details that you will see in this rental property. I named it a value-for-every-penny experience that was hardly to hard from anywhere in the world, but a place to feel like home managed by 2 generous & warm-hearted women.
I don’t want to write too much because probably I could not book them next time. LOL
JJess CollinsGood service, clean rooms, as expected. The 24 hour coffee machine is nice. Hot tub and pool area were clean and a nice space to hang out after a long day of driving. Cost was good for the night; ended up being stuck in town for another day due to a blizzard and the price jumped significantly online for our second night - spoke to the front desk and they were kind enough to offer us a 25% discount. Not a fancy place, but we always like to stay here when traveling through with our dogs.
SSimonBMIt's my 1st time in Winnipeg and my 1st time staying in a ****** hotel.
Although it's a ****** hotel, it is pretty decent, and its price is fairly reasonable. There was a few minimal noise here and there, but it is generally peaceful, cozy, and neat.
GGuest UserI enjoyed staying at Alt hotel in winnipeg. The design of the room was phenomenal - loved the high ceiling bathroom in my suite, the view of winnipeg downtown, and overall interesting placement of items and textures of the room itself. A lot of thought went into the decision making of the rooms and it payed off. I had forgotten my little music speaker at home but the alarm clock had a Bluetooth speaker so that was great! The hotel is in a good location to access downtown restaurants, etc. The Merchant restaurant right next to the hotel had delicious food! The gym was nice and spacious. The staff were all helpful and rooms were kept clean! I will stay again, thank you.
GGina LoewenEnjoy a peaceful and relaxing stay-cation at the Holiday Inn - Airport West! Welcoming and friendly service, spacious and spotless room, silky sheets on the king bed, and excellent amenities in the room. Despite the pandemic, we were able to use the pool - an efficient and fair sign-up process gave us 1 hour/day (could have been more). The continental breakfast was not included, but the location is excellent and we could easily walk across the street for sushi & bubble tea, pizza, steak, and more! Also a Shoppers Drug Mart and Liquor Mart right across the street. And, if you want some exercise, this hotel is a close jaunt to the beautiful Assiniboine Park & Zoo!
GGuest UserThe hotel is a little dated, but the staff did a great job keeping it tidy and clean. Check in was fast without hassle. Staff are nice and helpful. One thing to call out is that the hotel does not have an elevator. We had to carry our bags up the stairs.

BBirdie13The only reason cleanliness is rated a 3 is because our room had a smell to it (not bad, it could just be the cleaning products), other than that it was clean. It’s located on the outskirts of winnipeg which is lovely for driving out of town. The service was awesome, everyone from workers to people staying was friendly, it is a very welcome and warm environment. We ended up with a top floor room and was able to move onto the ‘motel’ style rooms, which was very appreciated. The breakfast that comes with the hotel really exceeded our expectations, REAL eggs, the crispiest best hash browns, and the toast was bacon was good too. They had an interesting cinnamon bun french toast that i’d definitely try next time. They have a pantry/ little convenience store in the lobby, and I’d say the prices are reasonable, definitely would expect them to be more. On the downside the beds are on the stiffer side, but the pillows are of good quality. this wouldn’t be my first choice to come back to in winnipeg but for the price and good meal included, it’s top #5.
MManjinder toorVery clean and comfortable room with all mod cons - more spacious than most in this central location in a capital city and the price was very reasonable for all on offer. Excellent wi-fi, nice toiletries, great choice at breakfast. The staff were very helpful, organising our taxi and allowing us to stay in the room after check out time so we could freshen up before we left for the airport.
The only issue we had about the stay was the noise from the street. The hotel is in an area near some fast food restaurants and bars. The first night of the stay we were awoken by someone blasting out music in the very early hours of the morning. The following morning the bin men woke us at 5am. Nothing the hotel can do about this but if you are considering this hotel and won't be out partying till the early hours yourself maybe ask for a room on a high floor facing away from the street.
GGustavWorst service I’ve ever received in a hotel. Dropped a suit for dry cleaning on a Tuesday afternoon and front desk never once respected their promise to follow up and confirm it would be ready for my departure. Worse, after the second day, no one seemed aware of what had happened to my dry cleaning. Ended up changing my plans and moving meetings to hope for my garments to make it in time on my day of departure.
Luckily it made it, but I ended up paying for a late return of my rental car.
I received no apology from anyone at the hotel.
JJackyBreakfast can be taken out because of the epidemic🥡 The room is large, there is a microwave, and the refrigerator. Second time staying in Day inn. Overall I feel good. The facilities are relatively new and much better than Comfort Inn
