AAnonymous UserThis castle was a gift from Louis XIV to his second wife, for her hunting and outdoor excursions. It's set within a vast forest, covering a large area. As a historic building, one can't expect the facilities to be overly modern, but the rooms do have jacuzzis, and the estate offers a pool, tennis, ping-pong, and small basketball and football courts, making it perfect for a vacation. Being family-run, the service is warm and attentive. It was a truly memorable stay!

GGuest UserIf you want to experience La vraie vie de chateau (a real life a a castle owner) this is your choice. Only 5 rooms available, very private, feels like you are in your own chateau… fabulous park and setting around the main building, was told there are other separate “mini” houses in the park , and you can go watch the horses…. And admire the view on the valley.
Our room: we booked the round bedroom … the center bedroom on the 1st floor…. Fabulous place, need a bit of upgrade in the bathroom… if anything… but seriously felt like a châtelain… as we reached early, we were welcomed by one of the sons of the owners who took us around the private wing, “his house”, and told us everything about the mansion history as well as hotel business. A great interaction with a friendly castle owner and businessman. They also have a snooker, a gym and sauna…. I mean… what else do you want!!!
We had to go out for dinner (at L’Hermitage) which the owner booked for us.
Breakfastwas served in the salons…. Stylish French dépit déjeuner, served by a dynamic, friendly and frank lady.
Just go. Dont hesitate.

GGuest UserWe enjoyed this excellent and stylish, romantic hotel located in a rustic park with trees in the beautiful Normandy near Honfleur and Etretat, we felt home immediately and have been able to make good use of the The room was air-conditioned, room with shower and bathroom.
Breakfast was very varied with beautiful local products and the gastronomic kitchen was excellent with beautiful varied fish and meat dishes including cheeses and desserts. All this, complemented with personal and customer-friendly service and excellent wine arrangement and a live-playing pianist, made our stay complete.
The hotel has taken our heart and will certainly come back here next year.

GGuest UserConvenient location close to a variety of eating establishments, including the hotels own restaurant. The hotel was smart, well maintained and excellent value for money. Good choice for breakfast as well. Only quibble would be the inward opening shower door made it a bit of a squeeze getting in and out.

GGuest UserPerfect stay for my friend and I that we were travelling the avenue verte by bike. They wwarmly welmoced us and stored our bikes safely in a dedicated safe area. Room Spacious and clean. Recommended!
