Great
YYumaoshenshuangchiThe hotel is located in the forest. There are only three single-family villas in the whole hotel. Each villa has a large courtyard and back garden. There is also a private hot spring. The environment is great, and the breakfast and dinner are also good. Friends with sufficient budget can consider it!
KKOHSSA very tasty family inn. The Japanese-style room is very beautiful. The surroundings are quiet and it's good to sleep well at night. The dinner is very rich, including horse meat sashimi, hot stone roast beef, etc. There are many Japanese side dishes for breakfast. In addition, the store also prepares a variety of pickled side dishes for diners to choose from. 🙂 The small hot spring can also be reserved for 50 minutes for family use♨️ The hostess in the quiet town can communicate in English, which makes for a good stay experience
GGuest UserIn the quiet mountainous area of Azu, the superior traditional hot spring hotel, it is impossible to expect direct rail or public transportation! Only suitable for self-driving travelers, go to the nearest convenience store and drive 4 minutes.
The service is too good to ask for more, very kind, the waiter can communicate in simple English. Breakfast and dinner are delicious, eat in a separate room. Originally there were cows and sashimi, but because we didn't eat it, the check-in explained that the waiter worked hard to help us communicate with the chef to change to duck and sashimi.
The room is very large, the TV is a large-size Sony new smart TV in recent years, Wifi is stable, you can stay in the room to soak in the hot springs, lie on the sofa to play waste and watch YouTube, not afraid of doing nothing at night.
The whole hotel only has 7 rooms, so there are not many guests. The room has been soaked in separate baths, and you can use a large bath (indoor and outdoor) at night to appoint 5 separate soup houses, soaking is very cool!
Next time if you have the opportunity to pass Asu to do the midway station, you will definitely come again!
BBokkie TruongAso Base is more than the usual backpackers hostel. I think it's like a boutique guesthouse. We spent an enjoyable 4 nights there. The owners are friendly and helpful. The facilities are spotless. The communal area downstairs has a well equipped kitchen and comfortable area for meals, reading etc. On the cold days we were there a log fire was made to warm us up! The bedrooms are comfortable and the communal showers/toilets are kept very clean. Adequate so never any waiting for a place. We also appreciated the discount tickets to the nearby Onsen. This is a great place at good value to stay in Aso.
MMasino IpThe hotel's overall ambiance was lovely, but the facilities were a bit basic. The rooms didn't have private showers, so we had to use the hot spring area to wash up, which was quite inconvenient. However, the evening carnival was a huge hit with the kids.
GGuest UserI was welcomed by the grandpa who happened to be ********* so we could chat every night. He provided me with many recommendations regarding the activities and restaurants nearby. He even brought me by car to the starting point of one of the trails in Aso park!
There were fruits and many kind of snacks, the room was super clean and comfortable (the only drawback is that it’s slightly pricey).
Miyaji is not exactly next to Aso station but you can borrow a bike from the guesthouse, it’s ~20 min away, or take the train (1/h) or a bus (the owner has the timetable). The advantage of miyaji is that it’s closer to Aso « downtown » where you have many restaurants and the shrine (but many of them are closed at night)
??]The dinner food is very rich and fresh, the breakfast is as delicious, there is Asu Shrine nearby, and the private hot spring is very enjoyable. Definitely come again next time.
