Outstanding
GGuest UserIncredible traditional Japanese house, newly renovated with everything you need for comfort. The kitchen is extremely well-stocked for us to prepare our own meals. The garden is beautiful and you can enjoy ocean view and sunrise from the house, there’s even a blooming Cherry Blossom tree in the garden. Just a tip to keep the sliding doors closed properly because mosquitoes do get in. Couldn’t have asked for a better stay.
PPolinaAbsolutely gorgeous place and the nicest owner! Rooms are cozy and clean. Air conditioning is working perfectly even in this scolding hot summer. The food is amazing! We highly recommend to try both dinner and Japanese breakfast, it is wonderful!
Overall this place is very peaceful and gorgeous. Try to stay at least for 2 nights!
Thank you so much for your kindness and care, we will try to return next year!
GGuest UserThis hotel is great. Hiroshima Airport called a taxi for about 1 hour. The hotel is pure Japanese style, and there are a large number of koi. The room has a private soup, dinner is outstanding, and I stayed for two nights without repeating.
RRosemarie WuThe location is very good, just a few minutes walk to the Itsukushima Shinto Shrine and Mt. Misen Ropeway station. There is a free shuttle bus station right outside the hotel to go the ropeway station. You can see the Torii throughout the hotel window. At night when the Torii with lights on, the view is stunning! The indoor onsen is not big but it's ok for 10+ people at the same time, the outside onsen is small and can only occupies 4-5ppl.
The staff in the hotel are very friendly and thoughtful. I was fully wet after the hiking to Mt. Mismen on the raining day, they helped me to dry all my shoes and coat. Happy to stay at Iwaso and will definitely stay again.
GGuest UserAlthough the hotel is a bit old, the service is really good. The hotel is a bit away from the pier. Fortunately, there is a shuttle bus, which is available in the morning and evening, which is very convenient. The room was clean and the socket was less, and it would be better to have an exhaust fan in the bathroom. I booked breakfast and dinner. I can say that the meal is worth the price. It is definitely incomparable with a good hotel. Overall, the price/performance ratio is still very good.
GGuest UserThis is a very pleasant guesthouse on Miyajima Island. It is about a 5 to 10 minute walk from most of the main sights on the island. The owner of the establishment is very friendly and polite. The accommodations are comfortable and clean.
GGuest UserFelt welcomed by the hotel staff, shared rooms have properly divided beds. Fully equiped with basic amenities such as shampoo, body gel, towels, lockers...
The lounge was full of books to read (tourism books, novels, manga...) and is tastefully decorated. Family-friendly place.
Close to the local train line that travels to Miyajimaguchi harbour (Ferry to the island) in barely 6 minutes.
Great experience overall.
GGuest UserWe had a wonderful time enjoying the onsen bath, recliner lounge, ocean terrace and beautiful view from our room (Note: trip.com booking of lowest priced room with sea view is not correct as the room is located at the lowest level and you only see trees before the ocean. We need to pay extra to upgrade the room to a better view). There's a private onsen bath tub in the room too. They also provide free coffee, popsicle sticks and yukata at the lobby. Dinner and breakfast has a reasonable spread but most food (especially the fried ones) are pre-cooked and cold. So they don't taste as good. The location is high up the hills. It's not possible to get a bus and then climb up with heavy luggages. The best way is to take a taxi, so be prepared to pay the price.
