AArisara SantibutrThe hotel is in a great location, right by the sea, and conveniently close to a 7-Eleven.
The room is spacious but has a musty smell. There are no toiletries provided, and the door lock doesn’t feel very secure.
The most disappointing part of our stay—and something I strongly advise everyone against—is booking a tour through the hotel. Before purchasing, we specifically asked if the tour included equipment, lunch, and entrance fees, and the hotel assured us that everything was covered. However, upon arriving at Sumilon Island, we had to pay for lunch, rent equipment, and even cover the entrance fee ourselves.

GGuest UserIt is very close to the Whale Shark Point. You can buy tickets directly at his hotel. The fare is 100p per person. It is recommended to book tickets at his house. Don't ask why you go to the queue and try it out. The room is relatively large, we booked a twin room with children and the two are double beds, and there is no extra charge. The room has a private bathroom with hot water and you can take a bath. After watching the whale shark, come back to take a hot bath and eat breakfast. Duma was still relaxed and comfortable

The resort itself is well-maintained, with lovely landscaping and comfortable amenities. The serene setting really enhances the overall experience, making it a great place to unwind for a two-night stay.
One of the highlights of my visit was the friendly staff. From the reception to the poolside attendants, everyone was warm and welcoming. The pool guys were particularly nice, adding to the relaxed vibe of the resort.
However, I did find that the food needs significant improvement. While the dining options were ample, the quality and variety fell short of expectations. To truly enhance the guest experience, I believe that more attention to the menu and food preparation is necessary. This aspect would play a crucial role in my decision to return.
Another area that requires attention is the communication regarding trips and activities. Unfortunately, we often found ourselves headed to the wrong locations, only to be redirected to another part of the island. Clearer information about where to go for excursions would be greatly beneficial for guests.
In summary, Bluewater Sumilon Island Resort is a beautiful destination with a relaxing atmosphere and friendly staff. However, improvements in food quality and clearer communication regarding activities are essential for a more satisfying experience. With these adjustments, I could see myself returning, as the stunning views and peaceful environment are truly commendable.

GGuest UserAfter checking out the local houses, we were pleasantly surprised by this cabin. We arrived at night, and there was a bakery in front, so the lights were warm. There was also light in the small courtyard, which was quite nice. The biggest surprise was the cleanliness. While the room amenities were standard, the floor, bed, and bathroom were spotless—cleanliness is paramount at this price. The bed was also incredibly large, perfectly accommodating two adults and two children. The driver was incredibly helpful and helpful. For 100 yuan, he took care of everything from picking us up in a car to queuing and picking up our belongings. We woke up at 4 a.m. and were among the first group to hit the water, enjoying a stunning sunrise. 👍
Cons: You need to bring your own mineral water, slippers, and toothbrush. The shampoo, shower gel, and toothbrush were packaged in standard sizes. After watching the whale sharks, it was a bit noisy heading back to the hotel to sleep because it was close to the road.

AAndré MII arrived a day before my whale shark encounter. The bus ride from Cebu took 4 hours there and 4.5 hours back. I didn't want to spend the whole day on a bus, so I decided to stay overnight at this hotel, and I'm very glad I did. I didn't expect much from the hotel, having read the reviews, but it turned out to be perfectly fine for my needs. It even had an ocean view, and they didn't ask for a deposit. I was prepared for the outlets, having bought an adapter in advance. The next day, I went to see the whale sharks at 4:30 AM, as the locals recommended, and was surprised to see hundreds of people already there, brought by tour companies. The organization wasn't entirely clear to me, but unexpectedly, a local volunteer appeared and guided me through the whole process. I got room 35, went back to the hotel, and returned by 6 AM. Then, everything happened. I'm thrilled, I didn't even expect it to be so good.

GGuest UserVery helpful and friendly staff, inexpensive place to stay, definitely getting your money’s worth. Three different types of houses, a white one, a pink one and a few bamboo houses which are pretty cool to stay in, both literally and figuratively. Staff can help arrange different site seeing packages and transportation. 性價比高，服務熱情，竹屋有特色而而且涼快，員工可以幫助聯繫遊玩項目及出行交通。

Extremely comfy bed, breakfast included in our package was nice, and complimented by a lovely view over the ocean every morning.
The staff were lovely and extremely helpful,
They helped us to book out whale shark tour and also arranged a taxi for us back to Cebu city on our last day. Can’t give them enough credit for being great hosts. Would definitely come back if we’re ever in the area again.
